It's about time. I thought they'd be among the first 5 asked about.

The Who are just awesome. I listen to the Live at Leeds version of Tommy maybe more than any other album over the last decade. Of all the British invasion bands the Who is by far the best live band! Without the Who, Rush would not be who they are.

There's a magic to Baba O-Reily that is unparalleled. It's tough not to pick that song. It gets played as much as any classic rock song and I'm still not tired of it.

A Quick One While He's Away is a contender too. Sparks is my favorite as far as the trio goes, but I love Rogers voice and he's not on that one.

I can't help it. Sparks is my pick.

Lol, are we all gonna pick "Baba O'Riley"? Well I am! C'mon people, introduce me to some deep tracks! (thanks glennny)

I'm familiar with Tommy and the radio hits "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "My Generation". That's about it.

There are really too many great songs to pick a favorite. I listened to a lot of Classic Rock Radio growing up, and I remember very clearly when I realized what Pictures of Lily was about, and I thought it was so amazingly cool.

"Baby O'Riley" is my favorite as well, sorry to report. I'd give an honorable mention to Niveous' pick of "Love Reign O'er Me."

It's not my favorite, but one The Who song I love a lot (but which I nonetheless don't expect to see anyone else mention) is "Eminence Front." I find it mesmerizing.

Good call Generic, Eminence Front is so good. Makes me realize that it's really Pete that I love most about them. Too bad Roger didn't like Rough Boys, it would have made one hell of a Who song.

That's a tough one. A Quick One, While He's Away and all of Tommy are great. But as those have already been mentioned, I'll go with another favorite song of mine, "Boris the Spider", the one that basically invented death metal growling.

And who are "Rush"?

Not a big Who fan. Had some good moments - but overall, a bit wanky.

My Generation is still wonderful though. And maybe "Magic Bus".

My first album was the Who. Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy. Given to my by my high school girlfriend. Guess we know what she had on HER mind. Anyway, yeah, I'm going with the other Ray. Magic Bus.

I think Behind Blue Eyes is the best epic rock song ever. Stairway to heaven is the shining archetype but BBE has all the elements and more timeless lyric. The acoustic intro with voc harmonies and the crashing (windmill)guitar in the chorus are great. lyrics like "if my fist clenches crack it open before I use it to loose my cool" really sound like the narcissistic young man that epic rock is built for. Plus it's neato ...
