I love to hear him play. I don't really think of him as much of a song writer. I mean it's all 12-bar blues. I love his guitar tone and his soloing. I'll have to think about which is his best jam.
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

His stuff does tend to all blend together in my head. "How Blue Can You Get" stands out though, because it's sampled in that Primitive Radio Heads song: "I been downhearted baby, ever since the day we met."
EDIT: Primitive Radio Gods, that is. It's still a little early for dementia to be setting in.

R.I.P. B.B. King
I've got to go with the song that first introduced a young Niv to King, When Love Comes To Town.

I want to say "Key to the Highway," but that's more Eric Clapton than B.B. King (Clapton recorded a version with Derek & the Dominos and a couple of solo versions of his own before this duet with B.B.). Still, I think it's worthy of note.
If no one else has said "The Thrill is Gone,", then I suppose I will. That song is incredible.

I agree with that.Generic wrote:I want to say "Key to the Highway," but that's more Eric Clapton than B.B. King (Clapton recorded a version with Derek & the Dominos and a couple of solo versions of his own before this duet with B.B.). Still, I think it's worthy of note.
