Oh, I wouldn't worry too much about that this time around. I'm likely going to be submitting something that could charitably described as avant-garde.

I've actually thought about creating another email account just to submit this under a different band name for the sheer purpose of avoiding ridicule and subsequently being able to make fun of "them" with impunity.

(wow, that was a long sentence)

No need. Submit it with your regular account, and in the message area you write the name of the "other band". Then you can rip it to shreds in the forum as yourself. If you want. You only need another email account if you want to fight with yourself on the forums. :)

My song was doing well Monday, then life got in the way...

Where's the fun in that? :)

For whatever it's worth, I'm submitting my song now. I think it was around midnight when I told myself to stop adding things to it just to "make it sound better".

Missed the last fight due to being in Hawaii, just got back. Had nothing. Still probably have nothing, but at least it's recorded and submitted now ...

Margret Benson and the Cheese Trio are in, and it's pretty epic.

The due date has passed, but since it was mostly driven by the optional challenge, I'm going to extend it a few more days for those who wanted to be in the fight but didn't necessarily want to participate in the optional challenge.

D'oh! I might've had time to fix my hastily concocted "song" ... not that I'm going to do that now, the moment has passed.

So did anyone use this extra time to rework their original submission, or submit a song they wouldn't have otherwise?

I feel like Robert and I are the only ones that decided to leave bad enough alone. Honestly, I am so embarrassed with my track. I'm hoping for "it's so bad, it's good" points, but I doubt it :)

We brought the "bad" and the "ass". They asked for "badass". :D

We could have probably used the extra time to come up with a chord progression that, you know, progresses, but didn't. I think we're pretty stiff competition in the race to the bottom.
