Hey, a question for you, Mr. RG -- do you happen to have hours of open-age for the rehearsal space over at Area 41? If so, I'd like to update the top post with those deets.

Also, to the list of overrated stuff that begins with Voodoo, I'd add Pok Pok, Salt and Straw, and Pizza Scholls. Not worfs. Skip!

Any word yet on what gear will be available from the venues and from the locals? Like, PA, mixer (how many channels), mics (how many), speakers, anything else, etc.

Ooh, those are good tips. Let's all plan to do brunch early to beat the crowds, like 8-9am. :)

Hey, Lunkhead -- now that I have poster and event page to share, I'm going to get in contact with the venues and get more exact answers to these questions. I will say to everyone that it will not be a bad idea to bring your well-labeled cables with you. (XLR / 1/4")

I remember seeing seeing it somewhere, weeks ago, but where is the link to the rehearsal spaces? What is the deal with those?

thanks!

Glenny, the info, as much as there is, is on the post at the top of the thread and on the associated map page. Bear in mind that this isn't so much a "rehearsal space" as it is "curio shop that is never open that Rabid has an in with." (Welcome to Portland!)

Rabid will likely have more info on hours of availability in the not-so-distant future. ;)

This is about as close as we could come to that, Niv'. But that's Sunday nights only, alas.

That is literally stumbling distance from my house, so we could make that happen in lieu of Voicebox.

So, rehearsal space… I'm guessing Thursday is going to be the heavy use day, with maybe some Friday (also asked for Saturday for some overkilly reason, heh). Should we start a sign-up thread for time slots & such?

As for details on the space, hoping to use his backline there, but ready to put one together myself if need be. Don't think there's a keyboard set up, though, and that's in Spud's vehicle. Hey, it's got a roof, electricity, bathroom, and fridge, with neighbors used to rehearsalating there ;-)

Really wish I hadn't been gentrified out of my old apartment, that was some good comfortable practice space (as some of you tour monkeys may remember ;-) ).

Yes, I imagine sign-up is wise, for those who wish to partake! Do you want to make a rough sketch of slots available for folks?

Hmmm. Noon-6 on Thursday, Noon-2 or so on Fri & Sat? Don't want to push it too late on the show days.

Would people be interested in joining a Google Hangout over the weekend to stay in touch? I've used the G hangouts for events previously, and it actually works pretty well. It would likely be useful for coordinating the unofficial field trips and whathaveyou. If this sounds like a thing you'd like to use, PM me with your google email, and I'll add you to the SFLPDXOR2015 hangout!
