Thanks for the update info.
10:40 Friday is perfect.
Mr Car will be there with Jason the bass player and potentially a sub drummer who said he's down for it.
Blue is prolly on hurricane duty.
Back line stuff is great. Yay fender amps.
We'll have our guitar, bass and a micro Korg
I timed the 6 song set at just under 22 minutes so we're golden. I'll just shut up between songs and post the set list here before we go on.

So slight change in plans. Mark, our drummer, will be joining us after all. brody will do an electric set. No special needs. It will be the same lineup that played Songfight Santa Cruz (if anyone remembers that far back).

Sweet. I take it you won't need me as a drummer, then?

On a related note: can I borrow your drummer?

No need for drummer. The only problem is he's playing with us on Friday and likely won't be there on Saturday. If you can switch to Saturday, I'll ask him.

I assume you mean that if I can switch to Friday, which I can't, unfortunately. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

OK cool, so no acoustic guitar and mandolin then? Drums, bass, two electrics, and a couple of vocals?

That's the plan. Just wanted to confirm there will be 2 amps for electric guitar available? Thanks Sam.

Until your change of plans it was looking like we weren't going to need a second amp, but now it looks like we will, so we'll bring one. :)

Okay I'm getting really nervous about not having a drummer. Is anyone at all willing to drum for me? I'd really rather not have to use a drum machine...

Or, if nobody wants to drum for me, could I at least have someone push the dice button on GarageBand's "smart drummer" on my iPad or something?

Spud and I are settled in at my brother's place in San Francisco. Really looking forward to two nights of Song Fight!

Question about the cover charge: do the performers have to pay it, or is that just for audience members? And does the $10 cover both nights?

I can't say 100% for sure, because we have generally not gotten any info back from the booker about details like that when we've asked for them repeatedly so far. I'm pretty sure the cover is PER NIGHT, so $10 for Friday AND $10 for Saturday, $20 TOTAL. Probably performers won't have to pay, but again I'm not sure and I don't know at all about +1's. Since there are so many performers we may not get +1's.

If you want something different to do Saturday, my friends from Brooklyn Raga Massive are fucking amazing. And they're playing at 1:00 at Yerba Buena Gardens (Mission St. between 3rd & 4th Sts., SF) https://ybgfestival.org/event/brooklyn-raga-massive/

Wish I could, Roy. I'm knee deep in rehearsals this weekend (plus a wedding to go to). Gotta play a cover of "Disco Inferno" at a Saturday Night Fever tribute on Tuesday and then the band has a big show at the Footlight in Brooklyn on Wednesday.

Roymond (or anyone else), are you going to be at the YBG festival? It'd be fun to get some hanging-out in before the show.

We just got the following info from the venue: performers get in free, but, no guest list. We're going to try to make sure anybody who performs on either night can attend both nights for free (e.g. if you only perform Friday you ought to be able to attend Saturday without paying the Saturday night door fee). I think we may just say everybody is going to perform and attend both nights. We'll see how that goes over...

I'm getting really excited! It's going to be a lot fun night, looking forward to seeing folks and hearing some great sets and rocking out!!
