My apologies, I did not mean to be offensive or insensitive or to diminish the seriousness of the losses. I feel disheartened and confounded by the number of amazing artists that we've been losing lately and by the relentless nature of the passage of time and life that it makes evident. That plus all the other tragic events this year effecting so many people and the general state of affairs in the US political climate, things have been feeling bleak sometimes lately. Anyway, I will alter the wording.

Thank you, my friend. I really do appreciate you doing that, i definitely appreciate the space dedicated to commemorating those who have passed, as well. I agree, this world has always goes through times of turmoil and unrest, and music has always been a constant, a sort of savior to help us all cope with the challenges and unfairness and tumult of human existence. Thanks for helping keep songfight alive and running so we can enjoy our lives a little more with something we love doing! Appreciate it, man! Cheers.

I started to post David Cassidy and Charles Manson but then I felt like the whole news section was becoming a bit too morbid for me. So I've removed all the announcements about recently passed folks for now.

No offense, but why would you have wanted to wish Charles Manson peace to begin with?
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

No offense, but why would you assume I was going to say "RIP" for him...?

His passing is notable in pop and music culture. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But the fact that he didn't fit with all the other remembrances was what made me think the whole thing had run its course. Seems like a board thread would be a better place for that kind of thing. I would much rather that folks actively submitted their news about their music and other creative activity, to fill up that space.

I mean if it helps any I didn't end up dying two weeks ago (although I could have if I didn't get to the hospital on time).

There is a great 2 part mini series about the Easybeats just started on ABC.

A bit sad that both George and Malcolm Young both just missed it. Anyway - give it a watch if it gets to US
