Make Mama Proud with the Song Fight! Arch-Comp CD

Set up live gigs with each other, announce gigs you're playing around the country or whatever, talk about how the show went, post links to recordings, etc.

Make Mama Proud with the Song Fight! Arch-Comp CD

Post by EightLeggedOedipus »

Hey everybody,

I have read the other <a href="http://songfight.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... >thread</a>, and I like the idea of the comp. I am ready to organize one, but I want this to be a serious deal. Anyone interested must recognize that I'm looking for a real time commitment, but the rewards will be awesome. Here's the skinny:

10 artists
1 song each
6 minutes max
100 glass-mastered silver face, silk screened CDs each
$75 commitment
Your best SF song as chosen by the group
Re-recorded / re-mixed to perfection

I am flakey in other parts of my life, but when it comes to music projects such as this I am really persistent. At this point, I want to know if anyone is interested. Do you guys see the value and the direction? I want something inexpensive enough to give away, and yet worthy of selling. Something that I can proudly pass out at shows, etc. PM me or post.

8LO

PS: Also, I don't see a copyright or trademark on the SF! logo. I'm hoping it would not be a poblem to represent ourselves as Song Fight community. I'd imagine a black CD face with the logo huge across it in red with just the URL across the bottom. Something that makes a statement about the strength of this community.

I would be interested. And I am still interested in the other, in sense of not wanting to come down hard on either camp ...
