new c.layne album out on magnatune

Post by c.layne »

hey all, just wanted to let you know, my second album on magnatune has just been released, entitled "the sun will come out to blind you" with album art by bortwein coming soon! go checkity-check it out!

http://www.magnatune.com/artists/clayne

as it stands right now, track 1 should be track 2, and vice versa, although the track titles are in the right place. it should be fixed soon.

ENJOY!

Awesome... hey, isn't "Vertigo Blues" your title for "Dizzy Spells"?
I love that one.
Obviously. Still working on that, actually.

Thanks Plat.

C.Layne: I posted these files for you. I believe I remember the file format needing to be High Res Tiff files, so that is located in the zip file I link to on that page. The zip also includes the Low Res jpg files that are shown on the page, which now looking back seems redundent.

Let me know if you want any changes to the files made... hope you like them.

Thanks,
bortwein

I listened to this album this morning at Magnatune (which I think is a brilliant concept!) and I have to say it sounds fantastic.

Great job clayne! I'll be ordering mine shortly!

Cheers,
HC

I just noticed that Bort's artwork has the title as "The Sun Will Come Out AND Blind You" rather than "TO Blind You". Dunno if that's a mistake or not.

HA! in the car bizzniss, we have the fabled I-D-10-T connector problem...kind of a code used between technicians and front line staff about retarded customers. "Oh yah, Mr. Smith had a problem with his ID-10-T connector, that's why the car wouldn't start....oh, and the lack of gas in the tank..."

Otherwise known as the driver relay...which is the relay between the driver seat and the steering wheel.

Ooh, cool artwork. Can't wait until mine gets here. Too bad your Run Faster isn't on this disc, is it too recent or just not make the cut?

EDIT: Sadly, the CD I ordered from Magnatune came today in a generic Magnatune jewel case, which, while cool and plastic-y, is lacking the artwork I was lusting over.
Let cake eat them.

Hey, just thought I'd give y'all another shout-out. I was browsing through magnatune recently and "The sun will come out to blind you" is in their all-time top ten "highest valued" albums (out of close to 400). Which is pretty cool: basically, with magnatune, you choose how much you want to pay for an album, and people are willing to pay more for "c.layne" quality! Or he has rich friends :).
