I went in with low, low expectations, as this movie had been getting dismal reviews, and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a very, very entertaining movie-as-faux-documentary. There’s more style then substance here, but more than enough of both to get my endorsement. My favorite parts where the mini-movie-of-sorts about the life of a bullet during the opening credits, and an amazing looking accelerated shot where a plane is dismantled over the course of a 24 hour period. The plot is too episodic and jumpy for a regular film, but this is not so much a movie as it is an infomercial about the world of international gun smuggling. My biggest complaint is that it can feel quite unbelievable for a movie supposedly “based on true eventsâ€
