Holiday Songs

Post by ken »

Not really a fight, but if you want to record a holiday song and PM me a link to it, I will list them here.

I would certainly appreciate any Hannukah songs as I make a compilation CD for my family each year.

Get to work!

Be well,
Ken

Also, for holiday SongFight tracks you can't beat Future Boy's Soft Orange Glow.

So the other day my friend was playing "Santa Baby" on the piano, so I sung along. This isn't that version. It's a g&g version. But it's still a pretty good song.

Then there's a Fountain's of Wayne cover of "Alien For Christmas" which is a pretty fun song.

(Btw, for Christmas I would like a kitty, if anyone would like to buy me one. 8))

This says three things about me:

1) I have samples for some pretty odd instruments (Glass harmonica!).

2) I really wish I actually owned a guitar.

3) My preamp's broken, so no vocals for me :(

The ice weasels (yes we're still around) did a holiday song last year called "Frosty's Drunk Again". It's here:

This is my We Three Kings from awhile back.

Oh, and here's an instrumental <a href=http://www.aaronondek.com/cover/CF04/rx ... IsThis.mp3> What Child Is This from an early Christmas Cover Fight.

Merry Christmas and all of that.

I have. I am myspace friends with them. You can hear 4 songs, they are okay. I keep trying to get a copy of their CD cheap on ebay.

Thanks!

Hee, very nice job, Johnny.

When I was a little thing we had a CD of 80s-y Christmas songs(it had a hilarious cover, I remember) that got a loooot of play during Christmas time, and this was one of the songs on it. Sentimental song and whatnot. Yeah.

Ok Ken, I'm in.

I didn't write the words (they're public domain though). Here is my folky treatment of "A Visit From Saint Nicholas." the recording was done straight to cassette mono through a single dynamic mic. I hope you like it - Hannukah Harry did :-)
