Holy Crap!! Spinto Band on tv commercial

So I'm sitting there trying to wake up in this morning and a familiar mandolin comes on during a Sears commercial. It's the Spinto Band's "Oh Mandy"

Cool. That track is in my heavy rotation in the car.

I wish I could find this thread, but somewhere, and I think it was when songfight got listed in that book, I predicted that in the next year, a band from songfight would "make it."

If somebody had told me that one of the last Nympho Leprechauns would one day be featured playing mandolin for a Sears' commercial, I would've called them crazy. Look who's crazy now.

I switched on Xfm yesterday and heard an advert for 'Direct to Helmet' by them; I love that song, it was one of the ones that first made me realise Songfight was pretty cool. I didn't realise that Carol Cleveland Sings were the Spinto Band though so it was surreal turning on the radio and hearing that song.
