It's the weekend where the board is oh so quiet. I'm relaxing after eating some good pancakes and adding up some Nur Ein jury votes. Ah, Saturday.

I just got dragged outta bed by Spencer who was hungry for his breakfast. He's actually been up playing for a while and I've been trying to sleep through it.

The Hell Yeahs won SongFight!! It's been a while - 2004 - there's been plenty of times when we almost won, so it feels great. Thank you everyone!

No real plans today. Tomorrow I'm taking Phil's mom and grandma to see the movie Waitress. That should be fun.

handily. the hell yeahs handily won songfight. :)

as it should be.

like the warriors handily beat the jazz last night.

baron davis is simply the baddest muthafucka in basketball right now. if you don't believe me, here's the proof..........

Image

baron davis is about 6'5". andrei kirelenko, the guy getting faced is about 7 foot. vicious. :)

going to The City this morning. i think it's funny how people from San Francisco just call it that, although that's what i always say having lived there for so long. to an outsider, it sounds kind of snobby, but it's all about enunciation and real City dwellers always enunciate City and not The.

and an early happy mothers day to you mrs. redmon, and all the other fine mothers out there. :)

Just in from work
Stopped and had a SEVERE haircut on the way home
Waiting for Lili to arrive home (Lili is the prettier one who lives here)
Then we'll be waiting for her friend Rosie to arrive, she lives in Spain and is over for the weekend.
And I'm actually rather nervous for the Nur Ein results.
BIG BIG Congratulations to the Hell Yeahs... Long overdue win!!!
Wondering what to have for dinner.
It's now 3:20pm here.

I got about 2/3 of the housecleaning done yesterday, so today's plan includes finishing that up, plus doing laundry, taking Ben over to PetsMart for a little while to get a little "hey, adopt me!" exposure, check in on my mom, watch last night's Numb3rs (my unsubmitted song for "Tw3rp" was the story of a bad guy who got Charlie banned from helping out the FBI with any of his math stuff by planting a bunch of kiddie porn on Charlie's Mac... the villain was called "The Tw3rp"). Reviewing a bunch more math project papers and putting together first drafts of some final exams for my wife.

Just back from Cracker Barrel (our Saturday morning tradition), checkin' the email and stuff. I whipped up some artwork for "Ran Away to Paris" yesterday, just in case the posting of the new songs was being held up by lack of artwork, but hopefully somebody else will come up with something better. Even though she's taller than the Eifel Tower, you can't really recognize Paris Hilton, but I did find a photoshop filter that made the picture all swirly impressionist-like.

So I see we have no question of the day yet... how about: something (a physical "thing") you used to have and lost or gave away or broke that you wish you still had. For me, it would be a photo of a former girlfriend, her high school junior year picture (assume what you will). It's been missing since 1980 or so, but I haven't entirely given up hope it will resurface once of these days. Second choice would be the Gibson SG that I traded for a twelve-string many years ago...

Oh, yeah: Congrats to the Hell Yeahs!

My entire Marvel Comics Collection from 1965 to 1972 that my Mother gave to the Insurance Man while I was at school (I was 11).
Probably close to 400 comics, worth a small fortune financially now, but worth more than I could possibly imagine to me, I was Broken!

Though I forgave her and would never hold that against her 'cause she's a wonderful Mum and stood beside me through some very bad times.

But I'd love those comics back...

Oh and I've decided to do a chicken curry...

Nur Ein t-shirts would rock. Then again, I want all sorts of Songfight related t-shirts. If you SF bands have shirts, send them to me for free and I'll happily be your free NY/NJ walking promotion. Unless you really really suck.

I wish I still had a lot of my old toys like He-Man and Thundercats. It would save me some cash instead of my slow rebuilding of the collection.

Just got in from Tee Ball with Andy. Having a burger on the grill, and then getting ready for a show up at The Balsams.

Hoping to advance in the Nur Ein. We'll know in a few minutes.

Woke up and went to the doctors today for my green card medical. Very boring. I got a PPD test that thus far seems fine, and I get to have blood taken on Monday. This afternoon it's off to the florists to order a boutonnière(mmm, Firefox spell checker is awesome), then off to the shop to buy food/drink for a small shindig at my place tonight with my friends.

I'm waiting for the Nur Ein results, as I am anticipating a BoRe win. I support the idea of t-shirts.

As for a thing I wish I still had... I'm not sure. Probably photos from when I was younger, though they never really existed. We took very few photos from '92-'02 for some reason.
Songfighter since back in the day.

I just realized, Diplomacht t-shirts must happen. Anyway, I move into a place for the summer this afternoon (god bless Tucson, where I'll be spending less than 300 bucks on rent a month). Hopefully I'll grab some delicious burrito or some other Mexican delight that no one on the East Coast has any idea how to make. I fucking love this town.

You moved to AZ? Yes, you will get the real Mexican food now. It may be a shock for the taste buds at first, but it's the real thing. I found that East Coasters are repulsed by Guacamole and just freak out at the flavor of cilantro.
Find a nice Mamá y Papá stand and get some carne asada......assuming you're not a veg.

I'm actually from Tucson, I just go to school in NY. Save maybe for some of the restaurants in Santa Fe, you can't find better Mexican food.

I had to work. It was pretty crappy. Right now I'm reading a bunch of crappy stuff at the westboro baptist website and being oddly amused that someone could be so crazy.

Also I wish I had my drawings from when I was a kid. Up until 8th or 9th grade I had them all, but I gave them to someone who wanted them. I don't know why.
Am I rockin' hard, or hardly rockin'?
