Sorry to bring down the Roll Call, but I have to vent! Some asshole motherfucker stole the kid's slide right out of our back yard. I can't fucking believe it! I'm so angry. Spencer got it as a birthday present when he turned 2. What fuckin' asshole would do something like that?

Oh, it is. If you ever want to tackle one and want the detailed recipe, let me know. I never write anything down, but it's just a glorified Cheese Cake recipe that I've pumped up and worked on for many years, but all the standard cheese cake rules apply. But it's the glorified part that makes this cheese cake so spectacular. Plus I have a cool way I garnish and serve it.anti-m wrote:This sounds soooooooo good!Billy's Little Trip wrote: Peach Cheese Cake - My cheese cake recipe uses 4 8oz. cream cheese paks and 4 eggs, so it is thick and creamy. No lemon! A cup of the mix is put in a separate bowl and I mix in a peach liqueur, then after the main mix is in the spring form pan, I swirl in the peach liqueur mixture. My crust is traditional graham, but with chopped macadamia nuts and brown sugar. Always cooked in a water bath and done ahead of time so it is chilled preferably over night, but at least 8 hours. A little bit of the peach liqueur also goes in the peach topping. Although I use fresh peaches and sugar to make my peach glaze for my topping, I will easily substitute fresh frozen peaches and quite often do. I also will use doctored up peach pie filling from a can. Not as fresh tasting but a HELL of a time saver.

Aww damn! Sorry to hear that Heather. Obviously young teens thought it would be funny to take something so big. Should be easy to spot though. Take a little drive around the hood. Also, the cops know the local problem kids. Believe me, they were at my door every time a grain of dirt was out of place in my neighborhood.Heather. Yeah, I'm gonna call the cops tomorrow. I don't feel like dealing with them tonight as I have to go to bed soon. We're gonna let all the neighbors know. They're nosey and have a lot of time on their hands, so hopefully something will come of it. I'm just so pissed and feel so violated. Grrrrrr!!

I had the same reaction.Billy's Little Trip wrote:Maybe you should use a more angry avatar until this is resolved. It's hard to relate to your anger while looking at that cute cheerful smile. Maybe photo chop some eyebrows like dis here .V.
BTW - I am also in the "that totally sucks" camp.

I know how you feel. I've had apartments robbed no less than three times and I've been jacked twice. I know violated. It burns me up when I think of the type of person it takes to rob another person. There is some sort of justification in their minds to do it. They have to convince themselves somehow and I'm sure it's a series of degredations on who we must be and how we must live and how they deserve our stuff more than we do somehow, some way. THAT makes me even madder.
My favorite thing to cook may very well be omlettes as well. They are so versatile. I make great pancakes as well.
I used to make this dish called Blackberry Chicken. I would make a nutmeg & cinnamon cream sauce with a little honey and brown sugar... just enough to sweeten the cream sauce A LITTLE. Then, in another pan, flash fry chicken marinated in a blackberry vinegarette. (Maybe roll them in some flour first) Then when they are almost done, toss some blackberry glaze on them. (honey, blackberry preserves, other stuff) Take the chicken and place it on top of fettucini or linguini tossed in the nutmeg cream sauce.
It's the closest thing I've come to a PB&J pasta that I ultimately want to invent.
