Don't forget that Melvin covered one of my songs for that movie too. So I have achieved measured success as well. ^_~

I wish I had come to the SF site sooner, I would have loved to make this title my comeback song. It fits my style like a glove. Oh well. =)
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Crap! Ok, I just resent it.

edit: Phil originally sent it by accident to "fighmaster@songfight.org". He forgot the ding dang T. Man, he was up for 24 hours straight working on this. Are we still gonna be allowed in?

Lord of Oats wrote:I knew that there was no way this would pass for a song without a first-take disclaimer. Well, and the whole 'it's supposed to be crap because the style I'm trying to emulate is crap' thing. But it usually pisses me off when people say that.
Well that's a good introduction. I just got mine done last night and I can say that it is pretty far off the mark as well. I'd like to blame it on the genre but I can't. First, Bossa Nova is totally awesome. Second, I wasn't good enough to make an authentic bossa anyway. It seems that I can only do sloppy lounge vocals and jangle guitar :|. I'll try not to spend so much time on this next week so I don't feel so lame when it's done.

On a positive note, the solo sounds real. You win some you lose some I guess.

Oh, and does one always get a letter back from the fightmaster that says one is incompetant? Or am I just that outstanding?

I'm pretty sure it's just a witty form letter. Apparently, Fightmaster is a pretty tough job.

remix?

Post by veGetar Ianra Ge »

So, damn. Now I'm home from traveling and can listen to my song on some real monitors. How disappointing. I've fixed it since the submitted version but unfortunately you'll be hearing some poorly mixed vocals. Look through the fog of poor production and on to the promised land, ladies.

Post the better version somewhere. Telling people that you mistakenly sent in a shitty mix is not "making excuses" for your song.

I thought that might compromise the integrity of the due date. Since it's fair game... i'll post the link when the fightmaster posts them all.

I'll try, but from what you've written it doesn't sound very "fun" at all.
