It may take more than a day to be inspired.

Back in for this fight.

Surprisingly, I sat down and came up with some tolerable music, but I've been brainstorming all day and can't come close to interesting lyrics yet.
"Out of all I've learned in Life,
You always keep your friends close to your heart,
cause they'll help you if you're falling down..."

Why is it such a deal that some people like a title you don't? Isn't it like preferences for bottled water? I mean, what a drag if everybody saw everything the same way. Sit it out.

Poland Spring for me.
It's not such a deal. I'm not bitching. I'm just trying to gain some perspective. I'm not saying, "What's wrong with you people for liking this?" I'm saying, "Where are you coming from? Help me understand what you like about it so I can come to work out my own approach." I like all kinds of bottled water. I like some variety. Poland Spring is a good one. I don't blame you. I had some the other day. Yum. I'm pretty agreeable. I just run into some difficulty once in a while. I'm certainly not sitting out. Not my thing. I've put a good deal of work in, already.
Why does a title have to inspire you? Write a song about how the title doesn't inspire you, then you will be inspired by your un-inspiration....ness. *taps side of head with finger* outside bruva...outside.

According to the FAQs:

"Every week several titles are provided, the competitors write a brand new song inspired by the title of their choice," (emphasis added)

ok Mr "reads the rules" Durand.

But wouldn't being inspired by being uninspired actually be inspiration?

Yeah, but then you wouldn't be inspired by the title. You'd be inspired by your disillusionment with the title.

I can see that soon to replace "not my thing" and "not a song" will be "you don't sound inspired."

I was still going to do reviews for AFR. I may be able to make some use of that.

I'll have to let go of my habit to incorporate the song's title in the lyrics. The title does speak to me many things, but I can see where Lord of Oats is coming from - none of them seem worthwhile to pursue.

Meh, I'll just focus on music the coming days. I'm entirely in.

Hell, it's a new review technique! Mine'll look something like this:
Everyone: I was not inspired to listen to your song

Well, started great, then two straight days of doing nothing as far as this week's project goes. Tomorrow doesn't look too promising either. Looks like I need to get my head back on my shoulders and tackle this thing--or else I'm gonna be handing in YET ANOTHER poorly mixed and tragically sad song.

Or you could just not submit it if you don't like it.... I mean, no one is going to get mad at you for not submitting a song. Many people will, however, get mad at you for subjecting them to crap. Just sayin'

In other news, I have a nice song written, almost. I need a verse or two and it's good to go. As for getting it recorded and sent in, I will try my hardest.

I like Mc Eric B's lyrics, and they'd almost fit to my song, which has rubbish lyrics right now. I don't suppose anyone has lyrics but felt unspired to write a tune?
[edit] Have new lyrics now.

What is with the recent surge of "Woe is me, I'll never get it done now" around here?

I mean, I can understand it happening when it's less than 4 hours to the deadline, but this days and days before hand-wringing is just silly. If y'all want sympathy, call a phone sex line. Or your mothers.

Or write a song about not being able to write a song. That'll go over about as well as this clingy-ass support me, validate me crap does.
