I got my copy from cafepress, and it looks and sounds great. Pictures and 2 sound clips are available at http://www.radnoise.com/albums/bednbreakfast.html

I'm okay with you guys spending money on this now that I've seen it with my own eyes. You can buy it here.

Nice work JR - this sounds pretty good. Did you record that all yourself at home? Or did you get some outside mixing/mastering or whatever?

Damn JR, I love "Traveler's Confession". When did you get so good with your guitar? The acoustic is sweet and the lead is groove'n. I was wondering the same thing as John, did you have the music professionally mastered?

By the way, there is only one "L" in traveler's.

All done at home - mixed/mastered by me. To be honest, most of the songs don't sound as good as those ones, but 'One Thing' may be the best mixing job I have done up until this point.

I didn't know that until a week after I ordered it. I was on vacation, and I walked past the traveler's inn, and I winced. I'm just telling everyone it was an intentional artistic change.

Artists and their llove to be quirky.
You did a good job with the production. I'd still like to hear the vocals gel a bit better in the mix, ie, use the same amount of delay/reverb as the rest of the song, but that's just me.

...or he could pretend to be Canadian. Or Australian, or New Zealander, or Indian - or pretty much anyone else on earth who can spell properly.

No pretending! Maybe we do spell it that way in Canada. I should check a Canadian dictionary.

Whoah... I didn't even realize you could use Cafe Press as a record label. I thought they were only for coffee mugs and shit. Wow, cool.

Why don't we all do this?

I was thinking the same thing. Seems like a good deal, although I haven't seen or heard the quality.

The last time I looked into it, CafePress was a complete and utter ripoff. Maybe their prices have come down since then, but I think the only reason people even use their overpriced service is because they don't know any better ("oh hey they make shirts and hey CDs too!") and so as a result everyone goes to them by default.

Check out Mixonic instead. Seriously. Hell, most disc pressers also have an on-demand or short-run service these days which is WAY cheaper and higher-quality than Cafepress garbage.

Okay, Cafepress's prices have come down since the last time I looked (they used to be $10/CD base price!), but you still get a lot more for a lot less at other places.

Considering that only one person (Jim Tyrrell) has bought this album, I really don't think it would have been worthwhile to have printed it en masse. I for sure will use a different service for my next album.

However, as pricey as this is, the cd and case really do look great.

Um, I wasn't saying to do a full run. Mixonic also does one-offs, for less than Cafepress.
