It does not end today! Roll Call!!!

Today is a bullshit day at work. Mostly people not wanting to deal with problems, which just makes more problems. So, I'm gonna go home and have some dinner, and then maybe play some Halo for a while. A good shoot-em-up will work me right out of this funk.

Question Of The Day: What videogames (if any) are you playing these days?

Work today has been REAL slow...probably due to the foe holiday. I have maybe taken 5 calls today.

qotd: speaking of slow work and only 5 calls... one guy called and asked if he could hook his X-Box up to his DSL account with us. I told him absolutely not and that it was impossible. Anyways, I'm not a gamer so this was my best answer.

QOTD: I got Mario Bros. 2 for the virtual console (the japanese version - it's hard!). My sister got MySims, and that's pretty fun too. The framerate sucks a lot though.

I probably would have posted earlier, but I got to write a 4 pager on The Dream of the Rood for Rep. Lit. Works, and I hadn't even started yet. I'm done now, and I'll edit tomorrow.

Today is the last day of the SUK cycle. I'm a procrastinator, so I've got a bit of work to do. The first day of the SF cycle is always interesting, especially when they get the timing aligned like this. Props to the mods. It's also the first day of voting in my sidefight. Check it out. We have a pair of good songs, though they're very different from each other. That's honestly about all that's going on in my life.

QOTD: Age of Empires III was cool. I've recently gotten a bit of a desire to bust it out again, but so far, I haven't. The only game I've played any more recently is probably SimCity 4. That was neat. I finally learned how to balance a budget. But then, my eyes really hated me after I played that. And I'd find that my day was over before I had time to start it. Video games and I don't usually get along. I just stay away so I don't get absorbed. It can become a problem, if I don't keep it in check.

Dang. A 4:40 start to Roll Call. Brutal.

I spent the whole day with my housemate in the ER. She's in pain but she's okay. Could've been worse.

Videogames I'm playing currently:
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
Rayman Raving Rabbids
Carnival Games
"I'd like to see 1984 redubbed with this in the soundtrack."- Furrypedro.
NUR EIN!
X-Tokyo

Today has been great
Closed two major jobs that I started the bids on last week before I left out of town
Both gravy jobs with a lot of equipment that have huge margins *does my easy money dance* Image

QOTD:
I don't get into games. I used to, but I just don't like shooting games and such. I like driving games though. That splash down one with the Wave runners is pretty cool, and Grand Turismo type games, but I haven't played them in a couple years, lol. I just feel like I'm wasting my time when I play games. There's nothing gained "to me" in the end. That's just me, gamers, don't be hating.

Same shit, different day. At least we have bun today!

QOTD: I am alternating between Guitar Hero 2 and Dead Rising at the moment. I want to get a hold of either Halo 3 or Bioshock as well. I also just finished an old point and click adventure, Flight of the Amazon Queen, not long ago, and have started on Beneath A Steel Sky.

Nope. The closest I come to video games is some Nintendo stock, for some reason.

I wish I could say that it was a sign of my own intelligence not wasted on video games such as these two intellectual types. Unfortunately that isn't the case.

I make no claims that not being involved with video games has any correlation to intellectual type-ish-ness. Nor do I claim any alleged intellectualishness due to any other activities, avoidance of activities or ignorance of activities. Of any kind. Unless you count Google Earth.

My videogames of choice are freecell and, to a lesser degree, solitaire, both the standard Windows versions. For me, the problem is that whenever I'm faced with something that feels too difficult or scary to deal with, it's too easy to just fire up freecell and play a few games.

On the subject of freecell, though... I have reset my scores several times, and I always seem to wind up at an 81% win percentage by the time I've played a couple hundred games. It always seems to settle in on that exact percentage... anybody else noticed something similar?

The Linux version of freecell allowed unlimited "undo" moves, so as long as you caught yourself before you made that final fatal move, you could back out all the way and start the game over. I had a 1500 game winning streak going at one point on the Linux version...

I am playing a good bit of Guild Wars.
I picked up Half-Life 2 again recently for fun, and just discovered that Episode 2 is about to be released. Great!
I also pulled out Diablo II the other day.
I also like the card game Spider, it's challenging with 4 suits.

On a tangent of my most-played games, as I am not playing anything currently, probably if you toted up game hours in relation to the time it takes to finish (if you see what I mean)

5. Resident Evil 1, 3 & 4
4. Pro Evolution Soccer in its many manifestations.
3. Final Fantasy VII
2. Grand Theft Auto III (over the others only because I also played Liberty City Stories)

and

1. Doom II. If under 'playing' you also include designing crappy MODs as 12 year old, and I am talking Paul Weller mod crappy.

No doubt this will change when I stop being so mean and get a new, better console than the ps2.
