Wait, wasn't NYC a SF Presents vs. a SFL?
Are we going to have a live fight?

It's a Presents. But since it's a two night event, I'd be up for some live fighting of an unofficial sort. But that's a conversation to be had in another thread.

Is this the final deadline or the first one that half of us will miss?

I am SO in! It's so difficult to choose just 4 songs, but here are some...

Kings of Leon - California Waiting
Cake - The Distance
Fleetwood Mac - Tusk
Alice in Chains - Down in a Hole
Wages - Hoglen & Wages - The Affirmative Mention - Gawking Urethras - The EAF - and more

Oh, hey, Phil! Welcome back! I was about to start asking people, "Hey, isn't it time for Phil to be back?" How was Europe? Nice songs, too. There, look, I'm on topic. Is there another thread this should go on? I didn't see you post anywhere else. Maybe there's a pot thread in monkey business or something. Go find it and tell us about Amsterdam. Or if there's not, create a thread.

In addition to the deadline question, I'm curious when assignments might be made, so I know when to have my links up.

Interesting list Mr. Case, you weisenheimer. Here's one from the Stink which I should be able to turn into links tomorrow.

Land Of The Glass Pinecones - Human Sexual Response
The Writ - Black Sabbath
It's Too Late - Jim Carroll Band
View Of The City From An Airplane - Oranger

Edit - It is now tomorrow and the links are up. The first three are from vinyl and the Sabbath one is at 96kbps. They all sound pretty decent, though.

I was going to start a thread with a photo of me in Amsterdam wearing my SF shirt, but my website/email is down! Soon as I get my host problem figured out, I'll get to really posting.

To ALL: BTW, I have a "Baby Be Quiet" demo, but I can't post it right now. If anyone is interested, I could attempt to email said demo through my Gmail address, but since this is due Monday, I think hope is lost. I'll probably do a g'n'g "acoustic metal" type thing.

Even with the update, I still have never heard of any of these artists.

I almost put "Sexual Healing". I thought it'd be funny to hear a Wreckdom version. ;)

Yeah, I figured it would be funny no matter who gave it the Songfight treatment. Humor potential aside, I really do like all those songs though

No worries, I'm in France at the moment. I just haven't changed the profile. The 2007 harvest just ended and we're starting the crush soon. But I'll be zooming back to Tampa soon to continue selling the wine.

My four. I didn't want to alienate any person who would be playing these so these are fairly well-known bands and diverse musical styles.

Animal Collective - Leaf House
Devo - Mecha-Mania Boy (b-side off of New Traditionalists)
Sonata Arctica - Don't Say a Word
They Might Be Giants - Withered Hope

A side note: Exactly one of these is visible on YouTube in its full, original, non-live version. The rest might be slightly difficult to locate, particularly the Devo song (you get it with the import Duty Now For The Future + New Traditionalists 2-in-1 from Amazon)
