'Twas my great great-Uncle (or something) "Bugs" Moran who's gang got shot up by Capone's gang. Capone's men showed up at their place dressed like cops, frisked the guys, took their guns then shot 'em. Makes me glad I have a nice, normal Federal job!!

Thank you SO much for keeping this updated. I agree with every choice that you have made, and will update the playlist and links when I am not feeling lazy as hell... like I am at the moment.

Admittedly, I was hoping to save "Por Favor" for Cinco De Mayo, but that's ok. I was glad to see that you had chosen the song too. I will remind people to listen to the song on the 5th of May also. I think that will probably be a new tradtion of mine, is to listen to that song at least once on the 5th of May every year, just like listening to the Moody Blues "Dr. Livingston, I presume" on St. Patricks Day, and doing a ridiculous Snoopy-like jig throughout the song.... it's an exercise and a half... and it looks goofy as hell.

I will be very glad when I am no longer on overnight shifts, because I might actually accomplish something every once in a while. Having these wonkied up hours is enough to completely throw me off of my sleep, and sanity schedule.

I like this little ditty, the music bounces along, and the lyrics are fun.

I would also like to mention that Jim has done a couple of fantastic live versions of my song, "Space Man", that he might give you a link to if you ask nicely. I was flattered that he chose to cover my song, and did such a great job doing so.

For a long period of time, the <a href="http://www.songfight.org/songpage.php?k ... ">Driveway Seed</a> fight was lost to songfight history. It was mere months ago that the fight was found again, and Fightmaster Sr. put it back in the archives where it belongs.

There were a couple of tracks I especially enjoyed, and this was the real gem of the bunch. This song is freeking perfect in my opinion.

Songfight legend, <a href="http://www.songfight.org/artistpage.php ... lang">Blue Lang</a>, has gone on record to call this his favorite songfight song ever.

Well, I don't know if I can call it my #1 choice, but it's pretty damned close if it's not. The song is perfectly imperfect. Another fine example of what can be accomplished with talent, and one week to create a song.

If I had REALLY been on the ball, I would have submitted this song for January 23rd, which would have been the <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/2 ... aroo/">one year anniversary</a> of the death of Captain Kangaroo.

Alas, I am a month late. It is still a good song.

I admit to preferring the <a href="http://dt.songhole.org/covers/captain.mp3">Duboce Triangle</a> version of the song, but both versions ROCK in my opinion. It is a good sign when a song can survive multiple translations, and still sound good.

I have played in Ken's band from time to time, and it is always a fun experience. His songfight debut is one of my favorites to play. It's got this great groove that forces my body to move from side to side as I play the bass notes. I am swaying in my seat right now just imagining the riff.
