Cool! I don't have that.
I have here on my drive 4 "fundamental pie" songs:
1. slap me (sounds like glenn rapping)
2. one with no tags, but it's got the niv voice synth
3. jimt
4. stars with 3 arms
Nor do I have my Week Without Ears, although Jim Tyrell did a cover of it for my hxaro which is much better than my version anyway :)
i have ten songs from "a week without ears."
There was also that sidefight - Trashwagon, was it called? Heuristics Inc did a good song for that, I seem to remember.
I did (good? thanks!) - I believe I had the only entry.
it is here.
It was for Nationwide Clyde's movie, but I don't know if it's going to be in the movie. there is now a trailer out for it.
Also I did a song called 'Descent' for a sidefight, but I can't remember which sidefight it was. I only have an instrumental version. Also the Bastard sidefight (although only Jon Eric & I entered that, and I don't have either any more.) Also Niveous' sci-fi side-fight project, which I wrote 'Wanderers' Song' for. I don't have that any more either.
bastard may be at work, but i don't see it here.
what was the niv one called?
Do you see a trend developing yet? About six months ago my old computer blew up so my own archive for these songs is very patchy.

Also when Starfinger moved websites a lot of the songs he was kindly hosting for me went up in smoke, so many of the links to my stuff in the sidefights archive are broken, and I don't have any way of replacing the missing files. Sorry about that.
Well, I may have a bunch of them. If you can tell me what is missing I may have them - I save everything, and I have some stuff here and some on my work computer. I must be the anti-blue despite us having the same first name.

oh crap! sorry about that. if it makes you feel better, I lost one guy's entire website in that transition. i'm quite a pro.

and you are quite the standup guy to not even mention this to me. I am really sorry.

No, not at all - I totally appreciate you putting up (with) my stuff for so long, and it's all my own fault really - I didn't keep any back-ups. It's mostly non-sf stuff I've lost. Apart from the songs listed above, the only ones I can think of that I don't have are Thematics 101 stuff and my marathon Songs album. No great loss, the either...

No great loss? The Thematics stuff was great. "Jesus Complex", "Pictures of An Ex", "Nowhere". Lots of good J$ songs-- which I have on CD.

Everyone, do yourselves a favor and download ADD's take on me from the 80's cover fight.

Guess what I found:
MARATHON SONGS

The Project
Marathon Songs is a test of endurance. Starting on Friday, July 9th, 2004, and running through Saturday, July 24. For each day of the project, each of its participants is to turn in one song. So by Saturday, July 24, each participant should have sixteen new songs. From those sixteen new songs, each participant will then construct an album, which will be advertised here. The album might contain all sixteen songs, or it might only be an EP. That will up to the artist. This page is your guide to Marathon Songs as it happens. Click on each participant's name to read a little about their qualifications, and all the songs will be posted here as they become available.

Most of the links are dead but now if we want to archive it, the artists who were in it can find their songs and resurrect them.

I definitely did a song where Jon Eric had ???, can't remember what it was called but it featured the line 'Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, rub your beard all over my body' as I recall.

I also did at this time a song written from TVIYH's tab, called 'Michelle' - it was an early j$ dubby song, as I recall.

As if any of these songs, I am quite happy to re-host these, but I don't have the mp3s. If you have any post them over to me, and I'll upload them to my website. Also if anyone else has songs from sidefights but no website space, I'll host them for you.

my first marathon song (a day in the life) can be found on my dirtcheapmusic.org page, or alternately, at the songfight archive page for the fight of the same name. the rest of them (there were only three more -- plus one i wrote but never recorded) are perfectly satisfied not being online anywhere.

I love love love the sidefights archive, though I'm sad when I find a broken link on it. Therefore, I would like to provide fixed links to my sidefight entries. I know the FMs have many better things to do than change links that I broke, but maybe some day you won't, so here are some updated links...

My CoverFight 16 (Fightmaster's Choice) entry is at:

Just wondering if anyone downloaded my entry for the "Cover Yourself" cover fight (Thanks For Coming - Caravan Ray) and still has it lying around on their computer.

If you could email it to me it would be much appreciated (I lost a lot of stuff when my hard drive died earlier this year)

PM me if you can help me

Hey FMs, I just noticed that on the sidefight page for Nur Ein "Sleeper" here:
http://www.songfight.org/boardfight.php ... rd_nurein2
My entry is missing. It appears on the Nur Ein blog here:

I have no clue how this thread completely passed me by until Niveous and I were talking about sidefights today.

I backed up the majority of songhole, including the somesongs mp3 archive that existed on songhole. It is quite possible that I might have some of the missing mp3s from the gearfights.

One thing I am seeing through web research, is conflicting information about the fight numbers. It could be tough to get a good history on these, but it's not necessarily impossible.

ROCK!

I realize this doesn't affect all sidefights, but over in the big thread about bringing back multiple titles, JB made an offer to host covers of songfight songs if one of our resident gurus can cook up an interface...

http://songfight.net/forums/viewtopic.p ... 405#102405

To the extent that this would allow us to find a relatively permanent home for songs from some previous coverfights, lovefests and other stuff... I would really like to see this happen. Any guri willing to start cookin'?

Here's a working link to Roy Castle's cover of "The Ballad of Pancho and Lefty" for Cover Fight 15, aka the Country/DEVO Cover Fight:

http://people.geneticmail.com/sam/songf ... dlefty.mp3

It's a great song, so it'd be cool if it were available in the awesome sidefights archive.
