Re: HTML allowed in band names?
Oh, I see, in the podcast it's entityified. So it's not even HTML at that point. No wonder it didn't break on mine.

Re: HTML allowed in band names?
I would agree if the band names weren't actually read by a human being prior to being posted on the site. Things being the way they are, I am not concerned at all.Lunkhead wrote:Not to be a smart ass, but I feel like the next thing I know someone will have an image in their band name, or maybe have a line break after every letter in their name ("L<br>U<br>N<br>K<br>H<br>E<br>A<br>D").
PS. my new band name is Jan Kr<script>location.href='http://disney.com/'</script>ger.

Re: HTML allowed in band names?
In fact, it's even better than that. As you can see from the email, he couldn't get the subscript to encode in the subject line of the emails, which is where I usually cut and paste the band name from. Give that he wasn't able to send the name he wanted, he described it to me, and I created it myself. There was no slipping anything past anyone that occurred. It required my active participation.jast wrote:I would agree if the band names weren't actually read by a human being prior to being posted on the site.

Plain text, my good man. Plain text. It's code, not graphic design.Lunkhead wrote:Spud wrote:Of course. Do I look like I don't know what I am doing?Um...Spud wrote:... Windows Notepad (my editor of choice) ...

Re: HTML allowed in band names?
There are more effective ways of editing plain text than something written in 1985 and mostly unchanged since then. Syntax highlighting and line numbers are two of the many highly-useful features available in things that aren't Notepad.
(Not to mention the fact that HTML is not plain text, and PHP is even moreso not plain text.)

Re: HTML allowed in band names?
I was just drawing a picture of an animate accordion receiving oral pleasure. What's an editor?

Yeah, what with completely posting on it so frequently over the last two days.
