Hey Bortwein, I think I'm going to be pulling out of this project. I have always loved the song I chose and thought I could do a decent cover, but as it turns out, the song's not as awesome as I remember it and my cover would not be very good either. I'm not a BNL fan, but if someone knows of a song that might sound good as a FBF cover, let me know and I'll check it out. Sorry.

i listened to 30-second clips of each of the songs that have been suggested and none of them really grabbed me... i will try to seek out full length versions of the couple that aren't on albums i have, and see what i think. but at the present time i am leaning towards taking "too little too late" into a totally unbarenaked style. we shall see.

I'd really like to see you stay in this one, I love your work and I was really looking forward to hearing your cover.

Just off the top of my head maybe listen to: I had a tie for #1.
1. War on Drugs - Album: Everything to Everyone
1. Light Up My Room - Album: Stunt
2. Life, In a Nutshell - Album: Rock Spectacle (I like this version better than the Maybe You Should Drive version)
3. Sell, Sell, Sell - Album: Maroon
4. Shoe Box - Album: Born on a Pirate Ship

EDIT: added songs
Really good song.

Also, judging from your coverfight entry, "Tonight is the Night I Fell Asleep at the Wheel" might be up your alley.

Whatever, sign me up for covering "The Old Apartment," possibly with Blue, until such a time as SOS declares they're going to do it.
