If not, Is It Cold? would be a nice addition.

I've been wondering who you were, Justin. :?

I'll contribute a booger, and I offer to help out anyone who needs it in any way I can, but recording is something of a problem for the time being. Hopefully I'll rectify that situation soon... eh.

Given my current listening material, I don't know if writing a children's song would be a good idea... hehehehe

Just for the official record, it was months ago, but you still have permission to use Madi's "Martians", in case you wondered because it was a long time ago.

I have a few others i'd like to offer up. I'll get them together.

Question (may have been answered already): Will the official compilation eventually be posted? Or if we want it, will we have to buy it?

Here are some more songs that would be good for the CD, in addition to the aforementioned Martians Are Going to Eat Us:

Merry Christmas, songfight entry, a favorite of Madi's

The Little Seed, corny but cute kid's story

Mary Had a Little Lamb as sung by a 2 1/2 year old Madi

The Math Lesson, an insane math teacher goes hog-wild

Then there are the short instrumental theme songs to kids' plays: King Midas, Sleeping Beauty, The Emperor's Nightingale, and The Scarecrow of Oz

This one sort of reminds me of "New Math" by Tom Lehrer, but considerably zanier. Who's singing it?

It's apparently the voice teacher of the guy who produced the recording. Great, isn't she? I wasn't in on this production.

Here's a song for consideration - it's about Polar Bears.

http://members.ozemail.com.au/~cavanrea ... rrock2.mp3

This is a pretty raw recording - if anyone would like to re-record or remix - please feel free.(I can email mp3's of vox/gtr/bass tracks)

I've got another song that was written by my 10 year old nephew which will be ready in a day or two

I did say 'written' by my nephew (except for the line about "meatballs of mass destruction", that was mine) - unfortunately I had to record it. Shame really - it really should have a kid doing vocals. I'll see my nephew on the week-end - maybe we can re-do it

Ah thanks, I was trying to do the vocal in a different style, recording very close to the mic and whispering, then boosting the volume after... there's a few dud notes but I had to get it done quick cos I was away with work for a week, so I'm pleased you like it.

I'm not sure the 'bridge' isn't a bit creepy for kids, but maybe that's just an adult listening to it. It's pretty sad kind of 'catcher in the rye' (although i didn't intend it that way)

Bring on the voting (come monday that is!)

it's still really nicely done...
i liked it a lot for a kids song... \m/...

you should get him to do some back up vox... it'd be somethin' he'd probably like to do... seems like it would be a fun lil' project
