Feeeeeebruary 14th. It's on the first page of this thread, and it's on the front page of Songfight

You're up too early on a saturday, Bjam. Just wanted to say, personally I think it's bad form to pick a song that's already been picked by someone else. There are very few artists who could bring something different enough to any song that I would happily listen to two versions of it. I'd rather hear the majesty of the Abba back catalogue spread around. But tha't s just my opinion.

Ooh, I just noticed this (sorry...). Can I still get in on it? I don't think anyone is doing Take a Chance on Me, so I'd like that one if possible. Thanks.

It's spoken for, RxW, only Bjam's not updated her front page yet. Not that it should stop you, of course ... Bjam has said she doesn't mind duplicates, and as it's her sidefight, it's her rules

(I've updated the front page properly now. I hope.)

Man, Johnny, now you're making me feel guilty for saying doubles are allowed.

I'm gonna say that if you want a song that someone has claimed, go PM them and work out what you want to do. If neither of you mind pairing up, then rock, but if you want to be the only one to do it, then just say so. I'd raaaaather no duplicates, but if you HAVE to do a song, then work it out yourselves and tell me when you've decided :)

Here are some songs that are yet to be claimed:
Thank You For The Music
One Of Us
Money Money Money (which is a totally awesome song)

And many many many more...

Klownhole has begun work on "When I Kissed the Teacher." It's a well known fact that KH are huge way ABBA fans.

Also, the Go-Gos.

Unless it breaks some rule, I'm thinking a Go-Go's interlude in the second third of When I Kissed the Teacher might be just what the doctor ordered. The rock doctor. Also known as Dr. Rock. Perhaps a Head Over Heals interlude....

Yeah, we got the beat. Wuh!

I may be a bit late on this, due to current lack of health and impending major snowstorms preventing me from leaving my home to go and record things. A thousand apologies in advance if things don't work out right.

I think I'm gonna have to bow out of this too. I have no excuses, other than sheer blinding laziness and apathy. Haven't picked up my guitar in like 2 weeks. I know, I know, y'all were just dying to hear me belt out 'Knowing Me, Knowing You', but I guess you can't always get what you want.

Well, no lame excuses of half-arsery from me. I'm finished

i'm out!
to continue forcing out this uninspired version of the song is simply not fair to Abba.

or something like that.

Congratulations to ABBA for winning a Grammy in 2006 for a thirty year old movie or something.

Also, 22 tracks down and, oh, maybe ten or so more to go, but I have to wait for my throat to heal enough so that I can make sounds come out of my mouth again.

I would like to publicly apologize for flaking out on Obscurity. Life has been way too complicated as of late and I just haven't been able to tackle the pop stylings of ABBA or collaborate on them.

Sorry, obs.
