Bass player available for collaboration

Post by mdsaint »

Hi, bored bass player here looking to collaborate with other musicians.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a Songfight tune all by my lonesome, but the singing... let's just say all the processing in the world won't make the sound of my singing voice palatable. :(

I used to gig a lot, but that's taken a backseat to family. I can't seem to find many people to jam with locally that don't have the "RockStarWeGonnaTakeTheWorldByStorm!!" attitude, and the people I'm jamming with now get together only occasionally (many schedule conflicts).

I'm mostly a straight-forward rock bass player, but will attempt any genre thrown at me.

Here's some tracks I've played on:

Alright, write a bassline for a whole song tapped out to a pre-determine BPM...send it to Leaf. Leaf, you put drums on the whole song.

I'll add minimal guitar and a vocal track. It'll be like a three piece power band with a heavy rhthymic backbone.

Lol, I was thinking of maybe just adding a bass track to an existing composition...

But hey, if you trust me to come up with the foundation tracks, I'll do it. 8)

cool

we're on

do it

just make sure you have a steady BPM for Leaf and a tuned Bass for me *SMILEY* You can go two parts (verse & chorus) or you can go three parts (verse, chorus, & bridge somewhere) It's completely up to you.

Not sure which fight we'd be in just yet. I like all three titles.

All right! I'm on it.
I'll try to have it done and linked to my webspace by tonight.

I'll probably go verse, chorus, and bridge, and try to keep it around 3 minutes or so.

Do you prefer standard or dropped-d tuning?

Hoblit snares another unsuspecting bass player. Drop D tuning will offer no defense. And all we can do is stand by, watching, heads down...
Another mad act in a mad city.

after checking out mdsaint's tunes, and knowing what leablit are capable of pulling off, this looks to be pretty promising. :!:
