Seems like we have three solid offers for hosting for this year. Pick which one(s) work for you and let us know your thoughts in the thread.

As for me, and Erin too I guess, we can't really do June or July. We'll be taking a bunch of time off in early June for our honeymoon, and then Erin will be out of vacation time for a while. I have to take another trip to visit family in early July. So it'd have to be August for us. I'm not sure we'd really be able to swing another East Coast trip in the summer, as we have more travel to do later in the year, so a local event would be preferred. There's a small chance though that I could swing an August NYC trip as I could work while I'm there, but it's unlikely Erin would be able to go.

We're having a baby(!) in May, so all bets are off for me attending this year. I just have no idea, and would say the odds are probably against it. Has to be a first time for everything eh?

So I'll abstain from voice a location/timing preference. If it turns out that I can go, I'll go wherever it winds up being at.

Well, I finally have a full-time job again, so money is no issue - but time may be, as I will have little holiday time to use then. So still only a relatively slim chance at this stage. I will also abstain from voting at the moment till I get a better idea of my time resources.

Voting for Bay area, still wishing we could organize a San Diego/ Orange County/ LA song fight live.

Voting Bay Area, as it's the most possible for my situation (and both Kimi's and my historical home turf), pending the follow-through on Kimi's hip replacement, money, vacation-time, &c., &c.

We haven't exactly had a huge voting turnout here. I guess we call it for SF Bay Area, August 11-13 ... ? We'll need to get started on securing venues if that's the case.

I'll see if I can persuade Eric et al and get brody on that bill. Eric's band (Marble Party) has a new CD release party next weekend at the legendary Sweetwater in Mill Valley if anyone wants to check out his latest stuff.

No news. Ken did some brainstorming for venue options and came up with a list. We're all pretty busy for the moment. I'll have more time starting in mid-June.

I forgot to bid for Toowoomba this year

I just realized something that could be very problematic about that weekend in the Bay Area. Outside Lands, the ginormous three-day music festival in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco (it's like SF's Coachella) is also happening that weekend. That could make things more difficult and costly for out-of-towners. :/ It could also create an extra challenge in finding a venue. I'm checking with the BSS folks about whether or not we really have to try to to it that weekend. Stay tuned!

Yep. A live feed from the Norville beer garden would work. Lunchtime Sunday - should coincide with the Saturday night show. Ill get Cody onto it.

...actually - that is not as silly as it sounds. I did chat with Cody the other night and he was interested in getting me to host shows there again. I'm sure Stevie D could work out the video technicalities. Watch this space...

Too hard/lazy to edit out quotes this Sunday night on my phone. I finally watched this space, and hadn't thought it a strange idea at all. However, I'll be 3hr approx 18min away running the merch tent at Mitchell Creek Rock n Blues fest near Gympie/Kenilworth.

I hope it's a ripper for all concerned *thumbs up*
