How do you enter?
Submit an original song by May 10th at 11:59 PM(Eastern) that fits the following criteria
Title: This is Fine
Challenge: Lyrics must include a contradiction.
(An example would be Tracy Bonham's "Mother Mother" where she sings I'm hungry, I'm dirty, I'm losing my mind, Everything's Fine!, or Oasis' "Champagne Supernova" which has the lyric Slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball
I think it was Matchy Matchy who already covered the obvious lyrical topic in 2018, round zero, "Trial By Fire." So I'll try to think up something else for my entry.

Nur Ein XV - Round 0 Listening Party is Monday, May 11 at 9 pm EDT. Given past participation, I'm thinking we will hit 20-25 songs.
If people are into it, I'll add the newly added SongFight 'Expert Opinion'. If it's not up, we can play those sounds at the Round 1 LP.
Don't forget to record your artist IDs or anything else you'd like as filler for the LP!
(my daughter came up with the name. We must indulge our children)

It's very late here. I haven't stayed up this long to finish something since uni ten years ago. The title for this round reflects my opinion of the song I made quite well at this point.

I'm in. I don't like it much. There is clipping and hideousness of production. It was done very, very quickly. But I'm in and I am once again A Person Who Participates in Things in a SongWriting Fashion. I have not written a song that wasn't for some comedic theater purpose in a sadly long while. This is Growth, and I am accepting imperfection today. Ugh.
There are 42 songs. Don't forget the most important one!

Last year Chumpy provided a zip of all the songs with the tags set correctly to display as one album on media players etc. and I found it useful, so here's the same thing for this round:
I'm in. Unless I'm mistaken, I haven't been a Nur Ein competitor since Nur Ein XIII. And this is the first Nur Ein I've ever participated in for which there were more than 25 entries in Round Zero. (Cheese and crackers, sixteen cuts!)
I went out of my comfort zone this time around and approached the songwriting differently from usual in a few ways. I'll elaborate more when I post reviews. I was pretty happy with the end result, but then I started listening to the other entries, and now I'm not sure I'll even make it to round one!

A heads up - I'm going to try and get started on time for the listening Party.
Some work stuff came up and I might be delayed, or at least the preshow might be shorter.
