Hi All,
What games do you play on your phone from the Google Play store? I have a Pixel 3 and mostly play Plants vs. Zombies. I'm thinking about installing another game to play as well. What are you into these days?
Thanks!
Ken

Put your phone on airplane mode, go to chrome, and click on the dinosaur.

I have an iPhone but I assume these are available from Google Play as well—my favorites are Candy Crush Jelly Saga, Pokemon Go, Words with Friends, and I was on a morbid Plague Inc. kick for a bit too.

Candy Crush Jelly Saga
I'm more a Toy Blast man myself. Those games are ridiculously addictive.

I really enjoyed Alto's Adventure / Odyssey - simple, relaxing snowboarding games.

Had a pretty good time with Reckless Getaway 2 as well, which is like a very stripped-down version of Grand Theft Auto where you drive around a town as more and more cop cars / helicopters / tanks try to stop you.

For something a little more challenging, Touchgrind Skate is pretty great. It's basically like a Tony Hawk game but you do tricks using two fingers on the screen representing your feet on the board. It's tough at first but really satisfying!

I get really annoyed by the majority of mobile games being so relentlessly packed with ads / "would you like to pay extra to make this game easier?" but the ones I've listed are all pretty sensible.

Tomb of the Mask is fun, although annoying with the upsell-on-death.

Wish I had something to add... but I can't grasp the state of mobile gaming... ADS! MICROTRANSACTIONS! BUY NOW! I was just telling my wife that if I ever came into a large sum of money... i.e. became a millionaire... one of the first things I'd do would be to outsource some Mobile Games for Kids to play that would be TRULY FREE. *end rant*

yeah I mean lately I've been doing most of my mobile gaming via Apple Arcade... $5/month for a whole buttload of games with no microtransactions or ads or whatever, and the money goes to the developers whose games you're playing. But that's not available on Android, obviously.

I don’t play many games at all, but I love that Apple Arcade Dear Reader game.

If you are on android, check out the f-droid market. Most of it Truly Free(tm) and they warn you when it isn’t. There are some decent games on there. There are a lot of terrible games on there. The problem being it’s up to you to sort them out. Welcome to open source.

Okay. I found a game for my Android that I actually think is worth it... though it's probably not exactly what you're looking for... but for $2.99 for the full game, with no ads or micro transactions... this would have made 15 year old me look to the future with excitement! Castlevania: Symphony of the Night in your pocket! Controls take a bit to get used to seeing they aren't real buttons, and they're spaced a bit further than a normal button would be, so muscle memory of hitting "Jump" then "Attack" doesn't work... took me awhile to realize why I kept missing my jump attacks... though it is nice that the "buttons" show you what they are and actually update when you press "Up". Anyhow... Castlevania on your phone for $2.99 is impressive in my book. I love it.
