Essentially a n00b

Hey all, about time I get around to officially introducing myself. I'm Nick, also known as JP Nickolas. I entered my first fight a year ago (Porcupine), and then spent a year getting more comfortable with recording before starting up again last month. I mostly play guitar, but keep telling myself I'll learn something else so I /own/ (but don't play well) a bass, keyboard, and an electric drum kit. Bass and guitar can just be played the same way amiright?
I'm digging songfight as a way to force me to write lyrics and improve my singing abilities. In fact, I think I've only ever recorded one song with lyrics outside of songfight. I kinda struggle with the whole "what would I even write about" thing, so having a pre-chosen titles/topics is pretty handy. Anyways, looking forward to putting out more songs and meeting everyone! The folks I've met so far have been awesome!
