Low burning candles flutter as a breeze …sway the curtains
She lay in tranquil sleep dreaming ….sweetheart dreams….I’m certain.

I walked to the window, blue moon beams …..shining through.
Should I stay should I go …not sure what to do

I look to the east for a sign …a little push.
I need something big …..my own … burning bush

If I settle down I don’t know if I can stay satis. ..fied.
My heart whispers to me……..
Not that you even tried.

Comin’ round the mountain just to see what's there.
Take another step just to end up any where.

I like to keep movin’ just stop …..to say “hello”.
But sometimes. ….sometimes. ……..
I’m not in a hurry to go.

So easy to get angry and just
Walk into a store
You buy the thing, you point it,

Come to my cafe all the food here is sourced locally
The supermarket's just around the corner
We got bread with tomato sauce and polony
Vegetarians we can take the polony out when you order

Come by for breakfast, we got Coco Pops and orange cordial
May I suggest you bring your own milk?
Next week is Asian week we've got some two-minute noodles
If that's too ethnic we'll have polony sandwiches still

No soup, so don't even bother asking
Why don't I fetch you a microwaved pie?
Boo Hoo, you say my menu sounds disgusting
Not that you even tried my cheese platter

What's that? Kraft Singles on a plate
I'll even take the plastic off if you're out on a date
We got slow cooked beef. What's that?
If you must know it's a tin of Heinz braised steak and onion

Welcome to my cafe all you foodies

Come to my cafe the ingredients are seasonal
I guess they were when they chucked them in the tin
We got baked beans and they count as a vegetable
And don't forget the tomato sauce they put them in

Come by for breakfast - the coffee's ready in an instant
I'll pour the sugar and you can tell me 'when'
Just for the kiddies we got some gingernut biscuits
I'll draw a smiley face in texta - look you got gingerbread men

No soup - why do you keep on asking?
How 'bout I fetch you a microwaved pie?
Boo hoo, you say my cafe sounds disgusting
Not that you even tried my microwaved pie
What's that? Take a frozen pie, put it in the microwave oven on high
Then what? Maybe set the timer to five minutes, that should be enough for a microwaved pie
