I can't believe it, I have a working demo! going to start laying down tracks tonight, because the temptation is to get cocky and rest on my laurels until like Friday. why no convo over here, is everyone on the Discord? *forgot Discord existed until just now*

Yay, glad you made it! Guys I am seriously shocked that there's no chat this year. Big bummer - much like I recently realized about the open mics, half the reason I participate is for the community.

last year the Nur Ein chat on the Discord was in the #monkeybusiness channel. I think it deserves its own channel!

son of a bitch, triple post!

ETA: might as well use it! Welp, I am struggling as per usual. I started out using one of my Omni's cheesy built in drum sounds for rhythm, in a (clearly vain) attempt to keep myself on beat, and then today I attempted to record actual real drums to replace it. Well, turns out I have some kind of weird drum Tourette's where I randomly hit beats that have nothing to do with the song, so that's fun for me. Trying to edit them out, haha hee heee. Thank God this is only Round 0, is all I can say!

I didn't get my song recorded in time to actually enter, but it got me writing again for the first time in months so I'm happy! Maybe I should have started writing more than half an hour before the deadline. In any case, I sent in my shadow under Crown Shy and will try to keep shadowing as much as possible.
