I did a Songfight song from 2007 that has been become over the years a regular part of my set. One of those songs which tends to change every time it is played depending on what's on telly that week. And of indeterminant length - so I wasn't quite sure how to end it...

Phew, I'm just in with a live version of one song that I managed to crank out a video for this afternoon.

In! First time doing a proper "live" video for one of these. One shot, no overdubbing or retakes. Just 4 mics and a lot of sweat

The Jerks are in (or are 2 1/2 hours late if the deadline was midnight EDT instead of PDT). I am not computer savvy so if there is any problem with the link or the file please let me know and I'll try something else.

I'm in with my band Mother Tree. (We haven't submitted anything to Song Fight under that name, but the video is of us playing one of my songs from Song Fight and one from Nur Ein.)

I'm in with 1 spintunes song and 2 songfight songs. My vote for SF live's cocktail is...uh...beer. Also 17 wowie zowie! I was not expecting that turnout after last year

I've taken to drinking budweiser zero. It's no alcohol, no carbs, no flavor, almost no calories and no point. But if you like beer flavored water it's almost okay. Almost.

Hey Ken, I treated this kinda like a normal song fight deadline and just finished a single song "set." I'll fill out the form and send it if you give me the go-ahead, but no worries if not.

Ack, we still don't even have a "something & something" name for last year, let alone a poster. Phlebia sent me some ideas and I lost track of it. The one that matched the usual format is "alive-ish and together-ish" lol/sob. I'll check with Ken about working on a "something & something" for this year.

And if anybody wants to volunteer to make a poster with the roster the lineup could probably be made available this week.

Earlier is better, but I can keep adding videos until Wednesday night (Or Thursday am at the very latest) so I can finish the edit and let it render out before the upload processing on YT's side.

Also fill out the form and let people know NOW if you will try and send stuff in if Jack's working on a poster with band names.

I'm also looking for band IDs and SF snippets of fun and weirdness - but send them in soon!

Thanks everyone for your generally on time submissions. Also, thanks to everyone who offered to make intros. We are well on our way to having a really fun night.

I still need a few more folks to record intros. They would need to be done today or tomorrow, so PM me if you have time.

I've been thinking SFL 2023: Online and Ongoing for this year's title, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Love it. Also, I'm happy to lend a hand as cohost/guest etc. - I'm set up for live casting, or I could record everyone else's individual audio/video sources to edit together after the fact. I even fooled some people into paying me for that service

Editing update -

I have most of the music and a bunch of the intros downloaded and tossed on a timeline and starting to tweak and do graphics. Late stuff will get on the end of the show as time permits.

If you have something short and funny or odd visually to add to the mix, feel free to send a link but time is running down!

It's looking to be a fun night of mayhem.

Rough finished yesterday. Got some notes from people, tweaked and added more intros, and re-exported. Just finished the YT upload and it's processing now. It took about 3 hours yesterday on the draft to get the HD version rendered, but the SD draft was pretty quick to do a confirmation check on.
