The Grand Parade is simply a specific grand parade, so a song about that is still about a grand parade too.

I'm still on track to play all 100+ songs on Monday night. Expect a long listening party.
And BYD is working on a tune as well.

One caveat - If I get a ton of 10 second AI songs, I'll pass on playing those.

What's the point in trolling people on such a happy occasion?

Glenn sent me something unexpected and very special.
No idea if what I just sent him back will see the light of day, but regardless, congratulations to Song Fight for 1000, and for making the world a better place.

To me, the alarming thing about this post is Tommy's confidence that the songs will be posted before 5pmPDT/8pmEDT Monday. The FightMaster's lack of response to that comment feels like tacit validation. I guess I'm going to have to get my submission(s) in on time for this fight. That hardly seems fair. jk.

I’m almost there with mine. Just a guitar solo to do, or if that doesn’t work out, a synth solo.
I’m eager to get this in before Spintunes round 2 theme is announced.

That does give a full day after the deadline but I was thinking similar thoughts as to the possibility they wouldn't be posted. I was also hoping to have the extra day but my trip to Ft. Worth this weekend has been canceled so it's no worries for me.

I set up the Listening Party for the 1000th Songfight last month. I was going to try and experiment with mirroring the feed to the SongFight YT site, but the last time I tested it wasn't a positive result, and borked the ability to reuse the same link.

If I can finagle something I'll mirror to both, but I know I'll be live at this link with a feed.

Whatever songs I get in my hands, I'll play. It's scheduled a little earlier on Monday 3/25 at 8:00 pm EST, because I'm expecting it to be an interesting and lengthy evening. Make sure you have an adequate supply of your favorite snacks and beverages.

In for my first SongFight, with a kinda sad song about being young and misunderstood. Or what I remember of it, anyway.

I have one song recorded, just finalizing the mix. I'm working on another one, but with a collaborator who's come down with the flu. The second one (which has better lyrics) is not likely to be done by the nominal deadline. With luck I'll be able to knock it into shape before the songs are posted.

We are IN! But I named my file lwrg_agp.mp3 like a real dumbass. I thought luckywitch+therighteousghost_agp was too long! I didn't read the destructions carefully enough! Oh no...

I’m in with a song that some may suspect pre-dates this fight, but I just want to put out there that it is indeed just as new as can be. As evidenced, perhaps, by how lo-fi and undeveloped it is. I have ideas for its future, but you’re getting a barebones version for now.

Thanks to all who work hard to make SF a great community. I’m grateful to be a small part of this milestone fight.
