So, the optional challenge shouldn't be advertised lest you want a thousand Glenn Case and/or Glenn related projects submitted for this one fight.

Don't say you weren't warned.

I mean, he's the shoot-for-the-moon-and-even-if-you-fail-you'll-be-amongst-the-stars type guy so you're really askin' for it here. A GRAND PARADE OF SONGS is whatchya'll'll prolly get.

I'll prolly get one in, just under or over the deadline, having started it today.

There's absolutely no way even Glenn could pull that off. No. Way.

If multiple songs are being encouraged I can do RoneRivendale, RogueFedoras, and RoneAI before the deadline. As long as the others put out 997 songs, we'll make it lol (I know I quit, but this is a special occasion obvi)
From spoken word to actual singing, I can screw up any style with style. :D

Leah had a good idea. Can we all write 1000 songs about Glenn Case?

It's probably be easier to do covers, there's at least a thousand to choose from!

I'm breaking one of the unwritten SF rules by writing about Song Fight. I'm trying to keep it obtuse.

Hopefully I don't quit on it. Doing my part for 1K!

Is that an unwritten rule? I never knew. I once wrote about Song Fight! in "Made to be Played."

For this fight, I was planning to do it again. I already have a few lines. But since Halifax actually has a Grand Parade, I may come up with a second concept.

What do people think of posting early versions of lyrics and encouraging lyric burglary to get more songs? I ask because I have some "meta" lyrics I'd be willing to post.

I did get some heat for being too "meta" in one fight, but I can't help how my brain works. One set of lyrics down! And I already have a pitch for another.

Just a heads up, I'm not able to send the confirmation emails at the moment, as I'm traveling and sending emails from the fightmaster account isn't working for some reason on the laptop I've brought with me. If you want a confirmation post here and I can reply here. I'll be home Wednesday night and will be able to resume the normal email confirmations then.

I now have complete lyrics for two songs. The second one is very Haligonian; I'll see if I can round up some local musicians. Excellent title as far as I'm concerned!

One of my many personas from the years is in. There's also a 10-minute extended mix that I'll post on the thread when it's time.

I am of course working on some actual songs too.

Submitted.
I always wanted to do something that is a little bit Lou Reed-ish. And here it is!

I’m on the road starting tomorrow morning, so I’m getting something finished up to send in today. I’m sure I’d like to have more time, but hey, that’s always the way, isn’t it?
Happy 1000, y’all!
