I'd give my right arm to be ambidexterous.
Punk rock is for children. Grab a six-pack at Half-a-Dozen Records.

I'm ampidextrous...but not in the cool way where I can do anything with both hands.
Just that some things I do with my right and something I do with my left.
(this is not to meant to sound perverted so get your mind out of the gutter)

No I can't do it, but I used to jam with this guy who played Jimi style. (Guitar simply flipped over and not restrung with the Low E on top, but on the bottom) I swear sometimes I would get so wrapped up in the trippiness of it all I would lose all sense of what I should be playing. I found myself trying to figure out his hand positioning so I could go home and try it myself.Phil. Redmon. wrote:I selected right handed, though I fret with my left.
Anybody ever try playing guitar reversed?
And can you do it?
I ended up quitting my experiment rather quickly.

I can play left handed drums. Not quite as well as I can play right, but I can certainly groove, do some sycnopated...man.
We should , sometime, have a "play everything backwards/upsidedown/inverted" sidefight.
That would be... that would require photo documentation.
And honesty, so I guess everyone who submitted to the ABBA sidefight are out... (kidding...kidding... in fact, I just needed a random collection of people to pick on to facilate amusing myself at this moment... )
..ah crap. That was supposed to be small type. Damn.
Left. Handed. Drumming. And. I'm . Not. Blue.

I kind of know this guy, Lag
He plays in Loveshark and the Stoner Funk Orchestra, upside down bass style.
I am totally up for an inverted fight, btw.

That's a fact ladies and gentlemen. You end up looking at the neck of the guitar and feeling like you've never learned a thing.Sven wrote:Makes for a bit of confusion trying to teach/learn new songs.
They do that weekly, or at least I think some of the entries are done that way. They sound like it, or at least the bad songs do. Maybe it would be cool to do that intentionally. Photographic "evidence" wouldn't do though as that can be easily manipulated.Leaf wrote:We should , sometime, have a "play everything backwards/upsidedown/inverted" sidefight.
Yeah, me too except the kidding part. I watched that thread. And I wanted to and probably would have done something, but all the songs I wanted to do had been chosen. Now As I go back to the thread and wait to hear the songs, everyone is dropping out. Oh well, I'm sure there will be some good stuff to come out of it.Leaf wrote:And honesty, so I guess everyone who submitted to the ABBA sidefight are out...(kidding...kidding... in fact, I just needed a random collection of people to pick on to facilate amusing myself at this moment... )

I'm left-handed, but I play right-handed, right-hand-strung guitar.
