Don't sweat it - it's not you fault Deepthroat/Fightmaster can't get his act together. Just tell him to jam his new title up his arse and give us what you've got. Only a dead-set curmudgeon would bag anybody for using curmudgeon as their title.Wages wrote:Catastrophe & Curmudgeon
Gerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! So I'm sitting on my computer one night and pressing F5 over and over to see the new songfight title...whamo! It's "blah blah blah Curmudgeon", so I say, "Cool, now Kurt [Cobain] won't be the only person to ever put that word in a song [that i know of]". So I immediately create lyrics. Then, I do a collab (my first one ever) with someone and I, NOT very carefully reading the prefight thread or checking the homepage anymore, write a SECOND set of lyrics for D&C. Once I've gotten BOTH songs "done" (you know, demo level), I'm informed that "Hey, it was changed to catastrophe!" Jesus H Christ! I hope I don't lose votes solely because I used the first draft lyrics. It's like this dude had a curmudgeon catastrophe...
Anyways, I hope you enjoy TWO Dude and CURMUDGEON songs. yippee!

Voters choose the rules they rule by.jb wrote:except that it's catastrophe, and not curmudgeon, so if people disqualify you from their consideration for using the wrong title... not my problem.
I am but a meager poet for the dogs.
I'm not stressed. I'm pretty sure it will fall, and that's not considering the odds. Thanks For The Frisbee wrote:dont stress, the song will stand or fall on its appeal.

That's funny Jeff, I did the same thing. I knew about Achewood, but I never got into it. I don't like writing generalized type stories. I like to get into a character or characters attributes and short comings metaphorically to make it a little more interesting and allow the listener to decipher it or make their own perception . After spending an hour or two reading strips, I realized it could take me days to really get into each character and wouldn't give me much time to work on a song. So my corner of dude and catastrophe is a look in the mirror, but it's up to the fighters to figure out what or who's reflection it is.
