Really... strange movie. Big time spoilers coming up.
So they advertised this movie as a cute little penguin dancing movie about little Mumble trying to find his heart song with help from 4 cute little Mexican-esque penguins. And that's what it was for the first 30 minutes and it was a kinda okay movie. Then stuff got crazy and all of a sudden it was a big time polticial-y movie. Humans? Zoo? Black and white UN conference montage? Whaaaa? I'm still not sure how it made me feel about the movie. It's kinda up in the air as I'm still a little "What just happened" regarding it.
But the songs were good, and the animation was glorious, and little Mumble is the cutest darn penguin evar. (And Hugh Jackman acting all Elvis-y makes my heart flitter all about)
I'd say a B, but it could swing a grade either which way after I think about it.
