lyrics posting
I wrote my "The Sugar Shaker" song and posted my lyrics for it already in the Lyrics section. Do I hold the record now for the "fastest song lyrics posting after the song title was announced"? I posted it 2 hours after the title was announced. I have a demo of the music done also, but I have not recorded it yet. Dance songs tend to not be as deep and meaningful, so I think that is why I was able to write it faster than usual.

Second optional challenge: write a song with meaningful lyrics that still follows the first optional challenge
Well, the real challenge is certainly one that sounds good to me!
Thanks for posting the new title...

since when has the dance hit of the year had meaningful lyrics?
this is a chance to be trite and revel in it.
just bring the beat.
edit: this sounds like an awesome challenge with a great, inspiring title.
i can't wait to hear about the second part of the challenge.
remix contest, perhaps?
fuck yeah, i'm a death pod (what ever that is)!

On the bright side, though, you still have almost two weeks to rewrite your song and make it better!WeaselSlayer wrote:Nope.MC Eric B wrote:Do I hold the record now for the "fastest song lyrics posting after the song title was announced"? I posted it 2 hours after the title was announced.
fast songwriting
bzl - my wife is 8 1/2 months pregnant, so she could deliver any day, so I worry about writing the song but never finishing it. I would rather at least get a basic version of it done as soon as I can.

whether he actually shows up for this or not, nobody can put the bump in my rump like future boy.
but now i'm thinkin.....if it's gotta be booty shakin and it's a 2 part gig, maybe an instrumental won't be so scorned and vilified and evicerated and (insert your favorite gory adjective here).
wait, this is songfight. never mind.

Congrats, Eric B -- and your soon to be Eric (or Erica) Wee!
As to the fight, I have to wonder -- should I do something trance-y (since I assume that's what passes for dance hit stuff these days) or more of a pop dance hit?
(Not asking for opinions, although I'll take 'em -- just sharing my quandry.)
