Morning everyone.
It's Thursday, the day I traditionally get the most work done at my job. But since I currently have a huge case of the Hate Jones for the place, let's see if that holds true.
QotD:
Who are the top 3 songfighters that you wish you could collaborate with but have never gotten a chance to?
I'll give my answer a little later.

This is a great QOTD. I'll think about it...
Back at work. Last night I got the lawn mowed and the home computer network going. And yesterday I ordered Cubase SE for $50 bucks from Musician's Friend, with a new guitar for good measure. Yay!
Okay, QOTD: Here's three off the top of my head that I'd love to work with...
1) Jim Of Seattle
2) Spy Vs. Pie
3) WreckdoM
This list could be almost as long as the SF archive. See, I'm already thinking things like "why the Hell isn't Hostess Mostess on there?"

No fake names....or at the very least, realistic fake names. Use junk email addresses, real ones, but ones you don't care about.
Zip Code: 33602 - 33607 (for example, I live in 33606)
<b>We don't really care for Fall Out Boy</b>...but we think it would be
1. HILARIOUS to open up for them
2. EVEN MORE Hilarious because our drummer works at Ford Amp.
3. It would be great for promotion
4. Maybe the boyfriends of the girlfriends who dragged them there would like us.

I've collabed with everybody I had ever wanted to while I was more active. However, if I can get my ass back to work here at songfight:
Puce, Brad Sucks, and more Leablit combo. I love Block City.

QotD: okay, so an hour from now my list would be different, but three songfighters I'd like to do a collaboration with sometime: Balls to Monte, the BeWells, and Brody. Potential collaborators, though, beware the KA curse: not even Loyalty Day could win with me in the band
Not too much specific to-do stuff on the list for today, other than taking my mom to pool class (which takes up about half the day), but I need to make sure I don't just waste it away. Try to figure out where the AARP card went to, we need it for a hotel discount in Colorado. And where all the memory sticks for my camera went to. Try to get the church songbook artwork delivered today and make sure they have the fonts & such they need to print it as intended. Okay, just got assigned another project: to design an efficient and convenient packing strategy for a long Suburban trip; all sorts of clever solutions have already been shot down. Also, we are out of milk.

Good luck, Hoblit. That'd be a trip to experience for sure.
There are many people that I'd like to work with here but the first one I thought of was Klownhole. A more odd choice perhaps, would be Fish Sausage - I hope she shows up again. Maybe WreckdoM will ask me to do an over the top voiceover some day? I could go on and on, and definitely make a huge list from the pool here, but anyone that doesn't need singing I would try to do something with.
Playing live with the Hole would be cool as would jamming with Brody or the Zipline gang. Loose and free. Again, a huge list here as well.
Guitar work today - Prepare a guitar for pickup replacement and set action and intonation on another. Twinkle-toes stuff, for me, but the guitars are always thankful. I'm too scared to do the truss rods though, but look to be OK. What are you getting from 'the Friend', Jim?

I agree on the Leablit.
Hmmm. This is a good tough question.
I think if I leave out people I've ALREADY collabed with:
First would be Dylan Nau. A shame he didn't stay hooked into the SF thing... he is absolutely excellent.
Second, Abom. I just think we could really rock it out hard.
Third, Octothorpe. Even though I've played live with them, I haven't done an SF thing, and they are so weird in their approach it could make for some fun stuff to drum on, or whatever.
If I didnt' have a job, family, band, teaching requirements and an active solitaire habit I'd be keen on collabing with whomever... someday not that soon I'll be more able to do so again.
Truely, my favourite collab partners are Gert though... it's like a big love in with those obese bastards. We've bantered about a few ideas lately, but jobs, families, bands, teaching, and Deshead's long standing battle with his gummie bear habit have stymied things a bit.
Fortunately, Tonetripper has kicked his nasty popeye cigarette habit so the chalky white stains he had on his fingers that caused him to slip on the bass strings is no more. Hurrah!

I suppose I should probably show up in today’s Roll Call, huh? I’ve been avoiding it since I don’t really have an answer to the collab question… since I don’t write the music for the Hell Yeahs tunes, it’s not really up to me if we collab with anyone!
I would love to work with j$ and Niveous, since they have been such strong supporters of the Hell Yeahs in the past. It would be cool for someone else to write lyrics for one of our songs… just to see how you’d do it.
Today has been a pretty run of the mill day. I meant to take the bus again, but kinda slept through my alarm. I keep thinking today is Friday, but it’s not. I’m so glad that people have been enjoying the new Abom song this week. It was cool to watch the process that Phil went through to write it. I have a meeting in a few minutes. Fun (not)!

howdy.
I haven't been here long enough to know exactly who I would collaborate with.
I was wondering though, was the deadline really 9:59 in the morning on Wednesday? Just seems like a bizarre time. I was wondering if maybe it was 12 AM EST, and that whatever converted it made some strange mistake for pacific time...
anyway. I had too many cinnamon rolls for breakfast this morning and now my stomach hurts.

I can't really think of who I'd want to collab with. Way back in the day I tried to collab with Deshead and Leaf, but I don't blame them for not doing it. I'd say ... hmmm...
Luke Henley seems like a pretty chill guy, and his music send shivers down my spine ...
BLT can put a good groove together ...
Almost forgot King Arthur. He'd rock out the guitar.
So it's LH, BLT, and KA. With JR.

Hey, thanks JR. I know my schedule makes it hard for me to collab, but we'll do something sometime as I get faster and better at all this computer recording stuff.
I've collaborated with the guys that caught my attention right away with their styles that I really admired. That is Paco Del Stinko and Steve Durand. My two favorite men in the biz.
I've also added parts with a couple guys, like Spoon, whom I hope to work with again soon, and Wages, whom I'm sure I will work with again. I love that guys passion.
I don't know the long time members very well, so I'm sure there are a ton of awesome guys to work with here. But I tend to want to work with guys that fill a void in my musical likes.
#1. Frankie Big Face - Not only could I learn so much from him, but he has the voice that I'm lacking. Although we perform and sound very different, I think I share his influences in rockmusic and we could get on the same wave pretty easy.
#2. Ken's Super Duper Band 'n Stuff - Again, I could learn so much from these guys. And again, we don't sound alike, but I get the feeling we share influences. Working with them might calm me down a little bit and get me to start focusing on quality playing and writing. Yep, it's time for me to grow up.....a little.
#3. Hell Yeahs - I think I could fit right in with this duo pretty easy. Again, a lot of the same influences and playing styles. Plus, I'd love to do a "Berlin" style duet with Heather, or have Heather do back up vox or double "Alice and Chains" style vox with me someday.
Other that I for sure want to work with would be:
For Writing and vocals
#1. Niv
#2. Luke Henley
#3. Wes Davis
#4. jimtyrrell
For guitar
#1. Ross
#2. Glenn Case
#3. Glenny
#4. Lunk Head
#5. Jason from Klown Hole
#6. Phil Redmon
#7. King Aurthur
#8. Furry Pedro
#9. Hoblit
#10. Jack
#11. Caravan Ray
#12. Paco
Drummers
#1. Leaf
#2. Blue
#3. JR
#4. Justin
No particular order. I'm sure there are more, but these are the first that come to mind.
