Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Last night I had a dream that people were stealing all my stuff.

QotD: Ever have something stolen? I seem to have pretty bad luck with my things being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and yet somehow I'm still a liberal.

When I was 14, I went on a two-week long school trip to visit a bunch of historical places on the east coast. On like the second day, me and my hotel-roommates (who were also my best friends) were (stupidly) playing keepaway with my wallet. It got thrown over by the door to the room.

Then Luke Gilcrease walked by and poked his head in.

When we went to gather our things to go eat like 10 minutes later, my wallet was not where we expected it to be. Later on, I politely asked Luke if he had seen it. He said he had not.

I spent the rest of the trip eating on the cheap due to the kindness of my friends, and not buying any souvenirs.

To this day, I am convinced that Luke stole my wallet.

I win.

1. Every bike I have ever owned (except the two I totalled and the one I currently own) have been stolen. Rough estimate: 10+ bikes stolen.

2. Jacked twice
A. Once by knife point, got my sunglasses. (convinced them that they couldn't use the $100 ((not made out yet)) money order in my hand)
B. Once by gun point two little kids must have taken from their mother's purse. (Got my whole pay check that I had just cashed)

3. Robbed 3 times.
A. Two guys I knew broke into my 1st apartment and stole all of my food and beer. Left all of my music equipment. (they did take a couple of videos too)
B. A guy I knew broke into my apartment and stole my Fender and ONE Bose stereo speaker.
C. Unknown assailants broke into my current apartment a few years ago.
1. Stole almost all of my music equipment - leaving one of my cabs
2. Stole all my change and took the power supply to my cable modem
3. Left: computers, TV, VCRs, DVD players, and a number of other things that suprised me.

Nothing much going on today. Work is slow. I'm hungry and it's lunch time.

QOTD:
Surprisingly, I haven't had much stolen from me, or at least nothing I care about or know of. We had our equipment almost stolen at gigs numerous times, but for some reason, we've always caught them in the act and ran them off or dealt with them. *taps knuckles on wooden desk*

But I did have a pretty killer audio system with 15" and 10" subs, stolen out of my car right in my driveway. But it was replaced via insurance and I installed a really good alarm system with a cool blue blinky light on the rear view mirror that went, bleep bloop, when arming the system after 5 seconds of leaving the veehick. I didn't even have to remember to arm it. But it sure let me know when I forgot to disarm it. 8)

QotD: Had my bag stolen in Mexico, with my work computer and my Logic software key (about to be replaced...LOOK OUT!) and misc other crap. Nice bag, too. Someone stole from a commercial storage unit a Gibson SG I had re-worked and rewired with a hand-held pickup gizmo.

Girls have stolen my heart (and one my innocence) and someone in Florida stole my identity.

Hoblit, that is a horror show and does not fare well as promotion for Tampa tourism. Just glad you're alright with those nut-jobs and all.

I have shit after those stories but I had a camera stolen when I was in the army that contained a roll of film I was very upset about losing. Full of classic moments from a crazy period in Ingolstadt, Germany, during the Live Aid summer. But if I were to get robbed at the house now, I can't even process how insane it might make me. Then again, it's just stuff. (or shit from the other guys perspective ala George Carlin)

Powdersprings,GA - lays claim to at least 2 of the bikes.
Smyrna,GA - lays claim to at least 2 of the bikes
Marrietta, GA - 1 bike that I can think of.
Atlanta Ga, - 1 bike that I can think of

Smyrna, GA - The Knife Jacking and the Food Robbing
Atlanta, GA - The gun jacking

Tampa, FL -
3 bikes (and I've totaled the 2 others here as well)
The guitar robbing (crappy neighborhood)
Musical instrument/change/modem powersupply robbing. (pretty decent neighborhood)

Not defending Tampa as much as I'm pointing out that it's not JUST Tampa :-)

I've had my identity stolen once. And I had a Chicago Bears hat stolen during a mugging.

Muggings?....gun shots? Nothing cool ever happens here. Just once I'd like to be mugged and shot. Stupid safe city. 8)

*looks up and says "just kidding" (knocks on my wooden desk again)*

Hey cool, I used asterisks, quotation marks AND parenthesis all in one single line. I've heard tail of it, but I never thought I'd ever see it, much less actually do it. Cool, this is a good day.....even though I probably spelled all of those punctuations wrong. :P

Quizzoday-

Not really. I mean, the slide out of our yard, and a cd player out of my car, but nothing major.

I still need a drum head. I haven't touched a guitar since dropping out of nur ein. I sold a couple drawings today and it paid for a livejournal paid account, so i can do crazy voice posts from my craziest hour at work (generally 3 am).

Got drunk on saturday. Professionally drunk.

Made blueberry pillsbury prefab muffins today, but added cranberries & crumbled golden grahams on top.

All is fresh.

Pre fabs are great, especially when you re engineer them.

I had my wallet stolen, but that was when I was a bit younger and had no money - I had to get a new learners licence though.

Had a bass amp head stolen from a church building; my wife had a bicycle stolen from my apartment building shortly before we were married. One debit card got misused buying phone cards or something, but that may have been me losing it rather than someone else stealing it. Umm, maybe I'm just blocking things from my mind, but I think I've led a rather remarkably nonvictimary life thus far.

Just another day of trying to get stuff done. I did the audio recording for a short film shoot last Saturday, and got busy this morning and organized all the audio clips and delivered them to the director, so until he calls me saying "I can't find the audio that goes with Rachael's lines on page seven," I'm done with the project. The film shoot itself was at the director's house, and nobody told me that the start time got pushed back from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., so when I got there on time and rang the doorbell, eventually his dad answered the door and said, "hang on, I don't think he's up yet."

Looking forward to an evening of mostly laundry and maybe a movie on TV or something. At the moment, I'm alternating between the washer and dryer in hopes of not triggering a city-wide power failure (it's another 110+ scorcher here (that's high 40's for y'all Celsiants) and everybody's A/C is running almost constantly). I s'pose as the evening wears on I'll start multitasking the machines just to get done.

I have the week off from the day job, so I'm working on getting the CD recorded. According to my schedule, today and tomorrow are the only days I've got free until I retire or die, so I'm really trying to make 'em count.

QotD: Once, when I was too young to be at a poker game, I was at this poker game... my wallet was stolen. Three or four days later I found it on the ground, in the parking lot of the local supermarket. My ID was still in it, but the cash was gone, of course.

I'd call that quite fortunate. It taught you lesson and all it cost you was money.

Well, it is in the songfight history books that we had pretty much everything stolen. Nice thing is, we got this in return. So, all in all, we made out.
