Sad day for Sony loyalists who preached FFXIII exclusivity as one of the (few) reasons to drop 599 US dollars (599 US dollars) on their gargantuan console.
Good day for the rest of us.

This is even greater hope for Final Fantasy fans, as the original production cast (Production, Music, Ch. Artist) left Squaresoft and went to work with X-Box affiliated corps. Perhaps this means they will come back to the series!

Re: Final Fantasy XIII to be released on XBox 360
At this point, Final Fantasy isn't the same to me anymore. FFXIII looks like a pile of shit, and Squeenix has announced that we will be in the FFXIII universe for ten years. I don't know if I believe that, but even two is too many, given where they're going with horrible spinoffs and fighting games and shit.
Unfortunately, emo teenagers love them some bishonen (though XIII actually stars a girl this time, instead of a boy who looks like a girl, finally), so the current styles of FF games won't go away thanks to their huge profits. Thus, I would like to see all the original cast of designers / producers / techs / etc reunite outside of Squeenix, in a new company, bringing us incredible games again instead of tons of pre-rendering.
