is it strange that this title immediately made me think of the modplug.com random song title/band name generator?
i was on there a couple nights ago looking for 5090 inspiration and i'm pretty sure Mediocre Savior was one of the titles it generated for me.
special.

Possibly with some augmented 9th saviors too
Though, I've always been partial to Major 7th Saviors myself...

Recinded. Going to be doing the song in a major key, but it's still going to be less-than-positive. Had a clever application of the title yesterday. (just was having a bad day yesterday, and dark and foreboding was all I could think of)

Mine's going to start with "Old Hundredth" transposed into a minor key, and then go into a completely different song.

I'm stepping out this fight for a couple of very good reasons (and after a lot of thinking last night and this morning):
1) I spent about 2 days on writing the song, and outside of some great lyrics, can't get anything good musically written.
2) I just got back on Monday from a 4-day trip away from home and STILL haven't gotten everything caught back up.
3) (and most importantly) Matt, my drummer in Glennwood, and I are each starting our own concept albums and I want to give some time to it since I spent a good while of my offtime on that trip doing some initial ideas for it. I probably will be doing SongFights still, but my interest is elsewhere for the next week or so.

In the meantime, I'm putting my lyrics up in Ye Olde Lyric Marte, anyone is free to use all of them or just the ideas behind them. Thanks guys.

I was just about to bitch about the deadline because I can't finish my song, then I realized ... the deadline isn't tomorrow ... it's in a week! Maybe I'll finally enter a SF again!

Reist, you've really become a killer drummer since I've been here. From the first time I heard you, I could hear your ambition. Now I hear your control. If I were in the "business", I'd be pairing you up with other talent. Never stop.

Blasphemy is awesome. I'll try to make a (blasphemous) song. It may have the lyric "Jesus Goatfucking Christ" in it.

Blasphemy isn't as clever or hilarious as some people think.
