CHOP SHOP RETURNS

Post by Eddiebangs »

The first Chop Shop of 2005! So, like any takers? For those who don't know... I take sound clips (ANY SOUND CLIPS) from anyone and everyone who wants to send me some, then, like, I just chop & cut and paste and mix and like, kinda make a song out of them... adding my own stuff of course. Sometimes they end up crappy, but a few have been pretty interesting. If anyone wants to participate, please speak up or PM me. DO NOT SEND OR POST ANYTHING BEFORE THE NEW TITLES ARE POSTED! (wouldn't want to be accused of cheating..)

I have made it a rule NOT to ask for anything in particular. I just take what I get & do what I can with it, so surprise me! I also always use at least some part/variation of everything I get.

I was thinking, maybe next time, if anyone is interested, we could all post our sounds/clips/noise here, and anyone who wants to try can do a "chop shop" song- kinda like a side-challenge for a fight. It's too late for this week, but I just figured I'd float the idea...

Honestly, I like to wait & see what kind of stuff I've got & what direction this thing is heading before I choose which title. However, if someone writes lyrics, then the choice is made.

I 'm interested, but time was the issue.... too busy right now man.. which is a shame cause I had some stuff that I would have sent, but the guys I jammed it with got all paranoid about "ideas"....silly muffins. ANd I had no time to come up with anything on my own... still....maybe you'll be busting out this concept again in the future? It's a sweet concept that you've kicked ass at before... anyway, sorry bout not sending something....

yeah, do it next week with this addition.
if you don't think that fight would be too samey... i'd say nobody who is participating is required to use all of them or anything.

That is awesome. I have hesitated to try this again after it bombed on my last attempt, but seeing as some people still seem interested, I guess I'll give it a go this week. Post links to sound clips in this thread, or pm me or whatever. Wait until the titles are posted, of course. Anyone else who wants to try a Chop Shop spin-off using the samples is more than welcome... it'll be like some sick & twisted anti-collaberation...
