Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
Tempo is an insidious thing; I thought that, with more words, more structure changes and more repeated choruses, I'd have my longest song of the fight -- but it's come out the shortest, by two seconds. Go figure.
Anyway, it has been submitted.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
My song makes no fucking sense. It should be part of a concept album to flesh it out. But it meets the challenge.
the acrostic: "We love him, RIP Dio. We rock him. Yea! RIP Dio."
The song is a stylistic tribute to Dio. My Crabs on Banjo partner R.E.L guests on duel/dual solo guitar.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
I'm in. Two and a half hours before the deadline. *looks around* Nope, nothing is frozen over. Unf**king believable.
After all of Frankie's hard edge advice, I decided to do old school BLT rock. If I continue on or not, I'm happy with it. If I spent anymore time tweaking it, I wouldn't have just ruined a simple jam. As it is, I pulled my harmonica out of the bridge, so it sound very simple and a bit empty. But as they say, sometimes it's what's not there that makes it rock.....err something like that.

Yeahsomehow frankie's advice never wired for me in the ein. Whenever I tried to play to my strengths I got accused of taking the easy way out.
I hope you're better at it than me BLT

Oh, by the way. I hit that magical 2:48 mark that some music guru said that "there is no reason any song should be longer than", lol. And it's not even a very fast song. Interesting how that works sometimes.

Song submitted. Not sure if I posses any strengths, but if I did, I'm sure this song isn't catering to any of them.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
There's a magical 2:42 mark? My songs tend to hover around 2:15-2:45. So how come I keep getting complaints (not in Nur Ein, just generally) that my songs aren't long enough?
It's a rhetorical question; I know the answer is that they're short on substance
Oh, and since someone else has shared their acrostic, I will, too: "Tell me now what you want from me, woman, lol" -- with bonus letters "l" and "h" on the end, as I elected to abandon a full-length acrostic in favor of a better overall ending.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
Well at least my song this week isn't as poorly thought-out as FUCKING LOST.
Good riddance. I'm going to go watch Season 1 and pretend that it got canceled like My So Called Life.

Re: Nur Ein V: Round 5
I watched Lost for a few shows, then read an interview with one of the producers, who said they weren't concerned with wrapping up the loose ends or bringing closure to the mysteries because they felt people watched it for the relationships.
And then I stopped watching and never looked back.

Did you see last week's where I took a screenshot from "Once in a Lifetime" and replaced the heads? I don't seem to be that concerned with pretty.
