I complain that some tools are using this URL for some stupid music quizzes:

http://www.facebook.com/songfight

Furthermore I suggest we tell those losers to relinquish that URL.

That is some lameness. Unfortunately there is nothing you can really do. I've recently run into this problem while trying to sign up on some websites for one of our band names and someone is sitting on it. So we had to change the spelling... :\

Wow. They have 57 monthly active users! How many do we have?

As annoying as that is, it's not like anyone here rushed to grab it while it was still grabbable.

Personally, I'm annoyed that Gabriel Iglesias has now gotten the #1 Google search result spot for "fluffy" when I was maddeningly close to getting there myself (I think I was #2 just behind Wikipedia's retarded disambiguation page at one point), but what can you do?

I think you should sue anybody that tries to uses the word "Cock" in reference to their penis.

There's a girl on You Tube named Brittani Louise Taylor that goes by BLT. Every time Tokin Daily uses one of my songs for his show, her vids pop up on the side, lol. I even read one of the comments on Tokin Daily and the person asked if it's her band.

I don't know who's more annoying, her or my music. I love the title of this one.

Is that a complaint, or a suggestion?

So, Facebook is changing up the way they do groups. So, essentially all the Facebook Songfight groups are going to archived and you have to update to the new version. This would be the perfect time to fix the whole 2 Songfight Facebook groups issue and create a good Facebook presence for this site.

Anybody know who controls the Song Fight! Facebook page?

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Song-Fight/257113771627

The group is ok but it seems like the page ought to be where most of the SF FB action is happening.

In the beginning, there was Usenet - a central, though distributed, repository of discussion spaces.
Then, web forums gained popularity, and such forums were fragmented over many websites.
Then, social networks gained popularity, and the forums returned to a central repository.
Finally, social networks decided they had to talk to each other, and Usenet was born.

It's the Circle of Life
And it moves us all
Through despair and hope
Through faith and love

Calm down fluffy. ;)

Anyway, a Facebook Page isn't a replacement for forums anyway. It's just a presence for Song Fight! on Facebook. I was thinking of places where automated posts of new titles, new fights, and new fight results might be useful to people. That info is already posted here and to songfight.org manually. It doesn't seem harmful to communicate that info to more people via more channels of communication, but if it is, then nevermind...

Turns out JB set up the page. Just a reminder for people here who also use FB, please like the SF! page there.
