Re: results for under over look glitchy
Do you mean this stuff, and how the results from "Isle Dauphine" show up too? Yeah, wtf... I'm sure this is going to great things to my archive data parser.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
Presumably that little "end" near the end needs some gitchygoos wrapped around it so some script will know when to give up...

Re: results for under over look glitchy
I think next time I enter I'll use the band name 'end' just to be a dick.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
FYI in case anybody is going to fix this, it's the late entries stuff. I guess it doesn't belong in the archive data, only the current fight data. I have code to account for it in the archive data, but not in the format that it's currently in there. Also I don't see the late entries stuff anywhere else in the archive data for some reason. Does that stuff go away when the data is moved into the archive?

Re: results for under over look glitchy
I fixed it by just removing the stray 'late entries' bit. Hopefully I didn't fuck anything else up.

If you guys can't wait for me to fix stuff, and prefer to just fuck with my code without telling me EXACTLY what you did, I fucking give up. OK?

Re: results for under over look glitchy
I didn't touch any code. I removed a couple of stray lines from the archive.txt file. I'd have run it past you first but you aren't on IM.

Also, I have an urge to fix things that are broken. But I'll stop now, since it's causing you aggravation. Sorry.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
It is not only aggravating me, it is causing me to consider my role entirely. If you guys want it, you can have it.
My position here is not based on being a great coder. It is based on caring and sticking to it. The more you fuck with my stuff, the less personal investment I have, and the less I care. Get it?

Got it.
I do appreciate everything you've done and continue to do for the site, and I'm sorry to have overstepped my bounds.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
Sorry Spud. I wasn't trying to mess with anything, just trying to provide some more specific info so that when you saw the posts about the problem you'd know right off what was wrong and where it was.

Sorry I brought it up!
Spud, this a great site, and I am grateful to you and JB and whoever else is trying to help. And as a tech writer, may I add: I hope everybody is commenting their code!

Re: results for under over look glitchy
No problem on the investigative work, Sam, and no problem with pointing it out, Mr. Owens. I know where the problem is. It came from when I added the possibility of "late entries" to the mix. There is a bug in how the archive is output when there AREN'T any late entries. I will try to fix it so that we don't have this problem in the future. The problem was that I didn't know what fluffy had done, changed code or changed data. It is hard for me to maintain when I don't know what other people are doing. It turns out he did exactly what I would have done, which was to remove the offending lines from the archive, so all is well.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
BTW, I fixed the code that generated the error this morning. Or rather, I changed it. I won't know if it's really "fixed" until next time out...

You guys, it says Manhattan Glutton right on the problem area right above 142 votes. Isn't it obvious? He hacked the system and fucked it all up.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
BTW it looks like x0's artist page is broken now.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
Oops, yet another stupid logic error (on my part) in how keys were being mapped to archive files. Should be fixed now.

Re: results for under over look glitchy
Yes and you also managed to screw up so<kpupp3t's page and the fights he's entered. It's all showing up as "So"

Re: results for under over look glitchy
The key mapping I did has nothing to do with the lack of HTML sanitization in the archive pages. :P

IIRC, it used to display properly, didn't it?
