Wrong! 14½ songs in 29 days.

I might be in, but I won't be trying very hard to get the full 14½ done.

Oh... last I checked that thread, you guys were talking about homebrewing beer.

Anyway, it still says 2010, so out with the old, eh?

Zinkline (which is Berkeley Social plus Niveous) will be at it again. We also just released our album from last year's FAWM, and I'm being kind of obnoxious about trying to get people to go download it for free, so I'll post the link again here. :)

Last year all our songs were inspired by the films of Bill Murray. This year we have a very elaborate scheme in mind as the unifying concept for the album. Hopefully we can pull it off.

I will have a go.

Last year I did 2 songs. I aim to improve on that.
It is a modest and potentially achievable target.

I "feasted" last night, posting four new songs in the twelve hours between 8pm last night and 8pm this morning. Among them are demos of my next Spintunes entry and my "Right There at the Edge." So, as of February 5th, I've got 6 out of 14 posted, leaving 8 to go with 23 days left in the month. I'm officially way ahead. :)

After a blazing start of 2 songs in 2 days, I fell behind this morning when my take for "Right There at the Edge" just wouldn't coalesce. Still, there's time, and there's a SpinTunes song to be written, so I have no dearth of projects and prompts, just of accomplishment. But, the month is still young.

Hey, long time no see! Looking forward to hearing your new stuff from February, IK.

For my part, if I don't finish a song tonight, I will officially lose my lead. I'm hoping to get at least a couple of songs done on Saturday, which would give me one week to do three more songs and finish the sucker off. I've got a great idea for "Cut It Out," and I'm planning out (a bit more meticulously than would normally be advisable for FAWM) another song, as well. So I'm pretty sure I can win again this year, but it's going to be a bit closer than I was initially expecting.

19 and counting ...

http://fawm.org/fawmers/johnnycashpoint/

And also, if you read this in the next 24 hours, it's a request for 30 seconds or 1 minute of found sound, I'm looking for anything that is "where you are" - street noise, a conversation recorded clandestinely, the TV in the background, the hum and whirr of your laptop, the birds singing outside your window. It really doesn't matter, as long as it's "background". And without too much tonality. I want to get a snapshot to build a murmur, for backing to an electronic drone I'm working on. I would love you to help out. More details, and where to send it, at the other end of that link.

I know, I'm all want, want, want, aren't I? :)

BSS is up to at least 15 music demos, and lyrics for many of those songs. Niveous is working on cranking out some more lyrics for us, and we're probably going to spend the last week of the month making sure we at least have demo music and scratch vocals for everything. We don't have our progress updated on fawm.org but we're looking pretty good. Yay!

yeah, i'll definitely link when done.

as a sort of general question for you guys, why do you tend to do FAWM over RPM? i don't know much about FAWM and heard about RPM first, which is the only reason i go that route.
