worst running commentary ever!
What happened on Saturday? I watched most of Friday.
Who won the live fight? Was it funny? dirty? political? some combination?

Back in Madison! It was good seeing old friends and meeting new ones! Now to return to the daily grind.

Chilling with JB, Future Boy, Add, and Heuristics Inc right now. Later we are going out for thai food. Yum!

Re: Song Fight! Live 2014: Running Commentary
Manhattan Glutton won the live fight with a ballad about a Mexican hero who calls himself El Chiste. It had an epic chorus that the audience was singing along to throughout.glennny wrote:worst running commentary ever!

Close second was fluffy, who basically did his version of an Abjure! song, complete with a punchline about JB's penis.
roymond did a song about Tolstoy, Future Boy went political, and I did a song about Robin Williams.
I did congratulate MG on his win in the other thread, but I agree it's true that the running commentary was less active on the second day.

Holly and I stopped at a casino in Maryland on the way home and I won $75 on a slot machine and we got gas and breakfast. Awesome.
I am preparing my pitch for a SF:NH event in 2015. It's a little remote, but I can promise hospitality and excellent maple syrup.

Hell trip home. Missed my flight in DC - due to a slight brain explosion reading departure board, and not realising that they don't announce the flights in the Admirals Club lounge like they do in Qantas Clubs. Got put on the next flight, which then got stuck on tarmac at Dallas for half hour. Had to sprint all the way to Qantas terminal - got there a minute before scheduled takeoff with the gates just about to close. Am now sitting on the Tarmac at Dallas. Delayed for an hour. Dodgy reverse thrust indicators.

Re: Song Fight! Live 2014: Running Commentary
Aw, jeeze, that's rough. I always set alarms on my phone to prevent me from missing stuff like that, because I have trust issues.
I hope you make it home sometime within the next week!
As for me, holy crap this was by far my best SFL experience ever. I love you all and I can't wait for the next one. :)
I'm also totally fired up with the idea of actually putting a real band together and do shows regularly. I need to make this happen.

I am home safe and sound, happy to be reunited with Erin and JJ, but missing the Song Fight! Live crowd too. I had an excellent time! Thanks so much to John and Dorie for being awesome hosts. Great job! I can't wait for next time.

I had such a great time with everybody, and I'm sad you're gone! Here's looking to all the media that folks are posting, and I hope everybody who wasn't there is terribly jealous and starts saving up so they can come next year.

I'm back in Seattle but still have at least an hour before I get home. So wish the Capitol Hill light rail station were open already instead of it still being 2 years away. Ugh

I thought the Thai food was pretty great (KA POW!). Good to meet fluffy and Future Boy, good to see the others again. Was really bummed not to be able to make the actual event though.fluffy wrote:Chilling with JB, Future Boy, Add, and Heuristics Inc right now. Later we are going out for thai food. Yum!
