Complain about your schedule. Apparently people like that sort of thing.

Hey everyone. I'm checking in. Just a hello. No question of the day, just a hello to the community.

I've been working on the Songfight: The Rockening project since the summer and it has taught me a lot of things. One of the big takeaways is the reminder of just how many really good bands are here or have been here. It's a bit mindboggling. Making a song in such a short deadline is daunting and so many bands have taken that challenge and have been willing to post up songs (including ones that aren't always their best representations) to be judged and kept in an archive forever. It's a gutsy thing. We are a hell of a community.

I'm checking in. I'm going to try and check in more. Viva la Songfight.

VIVA LA SONGFIGHT!

It's great to see a bunch of oldtimers coming out of the woodwork again lately, like Hoblit and 6maxine.

I really should listen to fights more often.

Yo! Represent.

I haven't been around for a bit. Bit I'm still here.
I must start writing songs again one day.
Just had shit happening.
Some was good shit - so that is all ok.

Oh - I played at a bar in Maroochydore 2 night ago. Big crowd. Wondered who this balding middle-aged guy was. Than I sang songs about my dick. It was awesome. Everyone was cracking up. The "Caravan Ray" persona is now working very well live.

Oh hey, a post about old-timers coming out of the woodwork?

Hi!

I've decided to sit out the song competitions for a while and focus on developing my own material. I still like the community here, though it's true I've been scarce lately.
