The Wrestler

Just finished it. It was very good, but difficult to watch. I'm practically a wrestling encyclopedia, so rarely does anything wrestling-related shock me, but even so, it was strenuous to watch, especially the hardcore match. Rourke did a phenomenal job being the washed-up, difficult to watch aged wr...

Come Down Where You Ought To Be by Doctor Worm A word to the papers I wrote you a letter An eye on the pavement A joke of a barrier And it's not fair Why would you leave Why would you notice Anyone but me? Can you see? Come down where you ought to be He said I'll be taking this step easily I'll tak...

Re: Review A Little Bit More (Love Me reviews)

Didn't have enough time to participate in or listen to the fight, but I just want to chime in to say how nice it is to see huge fights again. Great titles lead to such fights, and I've been vocally critical of titles in the past, so I want to be equally vocal about my happiness with this title and h...

Re: Video Game Criticism

Games had extremely respectable reviewers. The same thing happens every time: 1. Review site takes years to build respectability 2. Review site is taken over by conglomerate parent company 3. Review site editors are gradually all fired for not altering their reviews favorably for parent company's sp...

Re: Songfight on Facebook

How about keeping the one with actual songfight members instead of a bunch of weirdos I've never heard of? I vote two-word songfight, even if I think songfight is one word.

Re: Ninja Town

Ayla is the best! You should be grateful she can speak your language at all, being from billions of years ago, or your ass would have been owned by Reptites.

Also I got Ninja Town for Christmas but I still haven't played it. Lazy. I will report later.

Re: Video Game Criticism

Penny Arcade, hands down. The ONLY gaming critics left who have both great taste and no bias. If Tycho hasn't covered your game in question, look to 1up and Gamespot only to see what features the game has, and decide for yourself regardless of their final opinions. (All their good editors have been ...

Oh yeah, I forgot something important. Look up 'kizofieva' if you want to reach me through Steam.

Also, while I don't prefer it, there's nothing embarrassing about playing CS:S.

Team Fortress 2 (or other Steam games)

Does anyone here play TF2 (on PC) or other Steam shooters? I would love to get a circle of Steam friends going, then kill you. In TF2. And Day of Defeat: Source.

I still can't quite tell how this stacks up to the brilliant DS version, but yeah, it's very good.

I loved Double Dash, though. Even though powersliding with no hop felt so weird.

So it's out, and I have it, and I hope I'm not alone. ++++++++++ It's the best game ever made. (And it came out in 1995?! How has no game come close to it since?) +++++++ The HP/MP meters are permanently on the bottom screen (along with a pretty useful map), and during battles, all menus are on the ...

Re: A question for old-school songfighters:

Hmm, yeah, you're right. I'm mixing up two things. I could have sworn the old board had an unwritten rule of "Don't write songs about SongFight!" but I thought it was part of a greater set of rules. I realize now I am mixing things up. On top of how much it sucks that your computer was sto...

A question for old-school songfighters:

Does anyone remember all of the "SongFight Rules?" The one that originated "Rule 3: Pussy." You have to be from the old dumbrella boards to have any idea what I'm talking about. This is a fairly time-sensitive question. If you happen to remember them, I'd appreciate an answer. Th...
